What would you like to know about it. For one thing it isn't a lousy car, it is one of the greatest and most influential cars in the world. So much can be done to them. They can be a very reliable car and will give many years of driving pleasure if you aren't into all the crap they put on cars today. They are very easy to work on and very simple to drive. No - you won't win any races in one - IF you want a daily driver - but there are places that can coax over 400 bhp out of that little engine but you better be prepared to spend a ton of money and have it in the shop on a regular basis. It is possible to build a Beetle from the ground up out of a catalog. All the parts are available from a variety of sources. There are also numerous speed options and equipment that will give your bug all the power you may or may not want.

Great car easy to do everything. And a lot of fun. One draw back only if you have a cold winter NO heat and you need an ice scraper to defrost the windshield or you can get a variety of accessories to try and keep the frost off bring a blanket

So much fun. Great gas mileage. Great character. Easy to work on yourself. We have one that's been a blast, but don't be afraid of learning a bit about how to work on an engine! :-) (they're old, they need TLC occaisionally!)
They're a lot of fun to drive around in, and make you smile just by riding!
The heater is the only bummer. Be prepared to scrape the ice off the outside and the inside of your windows! :-)

I WISH I still had my 1959 BUG ! great mileage & even after my X totally crashed it, I took off all the fenders & bumpers,& engine cover - then put on tear drop headlight & tail lights - I drove it for another 40,000 miles,(Legally)

a lousy car with lousy interior but great engine....dont buy the car if you wanna use it for everyday car...
