Can't get past 40 without a look back. No one from the past I care about looks for me and anyone I care about at heart is heresay and running any which way in directions big and small. Have made an inventory but don't believe in amends because closed doors and burnt bridges are just that...
burnt and closed.

You're not a sociopath.. because if you were.. you wouldn't be asking this question. Sociopaths don't care about other people.. they don't care about their past, they don't care if their old friends won't talk to them anymore or turn tail and run when they see you coming. If you were a sociopath.. you wouldn't see that there was somethig wrong.. and if you did , you would just think it was their fault anyways.
I don't think you're a sociopath.. I think you're a man who has realized that he's screwed up his life with past decisions.. and that is what you need to come to terms with.

A sociopath has no conscious, but it sound like you do. So no, you are not a sociopath. You, like myself, are simply haunted by the past which is never easy to get out of your mind.
If this is something which is bothering you so much, perhaps talking to a Therapist or someone like that may help you. I know it has help me so much.

if you are forever looking to the past you should turn around and see whats in front of you,,the past is gone and no one can make it better,,but you can do something about what happens tomorrow,decide to make yourself strong and work on a plan to get there,your 'ghosts' cannot harm you but if you let them they will always shout in your ears,,if you need to ,get help but life is to be lived not regretted.

Why do you feel that you are a psyciopath. You don't give us any clue as to why you would feel that way.
