Mom and I were supposed to have a day together getting our hair done. I had to call the salon to get it re-scheduled. Long and be hold someone listened to my phone conversation. My Sister in law has now the same appointment, on the same day at the same salon!?!?!

Get a shredder, shred all your mail after you are done

Get a P.O.Box for important mail and orders

Use private phone line or cell phone to arrange meetings and other private matters, while she is not around...or do it in your car, or at the supermarket when she is not around

Do her that way...start harassing her, following her, taking NOTES when she was where with whom...etc
If none of these things work, explain to her that her behavior border on stalking and invasion of privacy, and if she does not refrain from such behavior, you will file a petition with the police for a restraining order.
Remember...because she is an "in-law" , this does NOT give her ANY rights to behave CRIMINALLY towards you.

She must be jealous, or lonely. If she peeves you off change your appointment or try diff salon. She may not be there same time. Maybe she is trying to fit into your family do you include her in things. I had sister in law similiar she copied everything i done bought same gift for her husband i bought for mine i got angry took her shopping saw hideous statue in shop display said was buying it on pay day for my husband. no way i was guesss what it was sold that afternoon, my bro hated it she soon stopped copying tho never stopped causing trouble.Also told her i was getting hair cut short she jumped in first gee i told her white lie. Some ppl cant help them selves.

Call the salon and cancel her appointment. Pretend to be her. Better yet, try to move it 2 hours earlier so she is late when she arrives. Don't wait too long.

If this is really bothering you then talk to her and set ground rules.
Let your feelings be known. she may not be aware of how you are feeling. and just wants to be part of the group.
If she does it to get under your skin and talking to her doesn't work.
you may have to be more aware of what you are doing when she is around. Buy a shredder for your trash leak out wrong appointment times when she is around.
But do try talking to her first in the long run its better to get it out in the open.

I would check with local authorities about the trash thing, as in some States it is considered illegal to do that.
As for the other, tell her to get a life of her own...

if you dont want the person that you dont like to know then keep it yourself and go alone. it always work. not 100 percent but close to it. even if you are done and walk out. then your sis in law walk in the it is her lost.
