I have heard that in India, men are usually dominant among women. I have a friend from Delhi and I am from an Asian country too. Pls help me understand about the culture of India esp. in love relationships and how do men usually woo a women. I wonder if they are really open with their feelings. How do they deal with such things?

Dear Samantha,
There are two Indias in one large country, what I mean is there are these people in the villages a considerable portion of them, there the men are dominant and the women are slaves. But things are changing there too.Women are more and more getting involved in local politics and educating themselves.

Then there is the modern India in the cities which is in no way inferior to the western world, dating, living in, divorce, all the contributions of the west are very much there and visible too. So the modern India is a contrast to the village India, but everyone of us live our lives to best we can.

Ofcourse like in every society there are lumpen elements and antisocials but thats not the point. India is marching ahead and in its wake picking up a lot of good and some bad influences too.
