Perhaps the other people were the products of Evolution. Science has established the existence of Neanderthals at the same time as us and have speculated that inter-breeding occurred; this may be an earthly parallel to the divine version.

The City of Nod had to come from somewhere; you'd think if it were populated by the sons & daughters of Adam there would have been a mention of it. Maybe some big chunks of the story have gone missing; there were a lot of Kings who did not tend to the scrolls very well over the years (and that's according to scripture in "Kings").

It's been a long time since we've heard from God; I really thought we were going to get to add some chapters when the Red Sox won the World Series. But I guess we'll have to wait for the Cubs.

Keep in mind that scientists are seeking the genetic equivalent of Adam & Eve. All the genetic lines connect somewhere back in time; the earth existed without us for quite a while.

It is only gross to consider marrying a sibling in our context of the relationship. 6032 years ago humans were pretty much perfect, in that they did not have genetic abnormalities, so there was no fear, or even any experience with abnormal births. At least not until the fallen angles began impregnating human women. As humans progress back to the level of perfection and everlasting life, attitudes may change about siblings marrying. The reason for the mention of only the first two male children is the significance of the events in tracing the lineage of Christ. The Bible gives the name of the first born and how old the father was at the time of the birth. That is how one can distinguish how long it has been since the creation. In 1974, it was 6000 years. If you decide to do the math, don't forget there is not year zero. Christ was born in 2 B.C., was age 1 in 1 C.E., and was age 2 in 2 C.E.

It disturbs me how Christians try to justify incest in the bible by quoting it was outruled in leviticus. Why would god think it was a-okay before that? Anyone with a basic knowledge of genetics will know that 2 healthy people born to the same parents or close cousins will have genetically malformed children, so the idea that adam and eve were more pure is ludicrous at best. And another horrible thing is how god changes his mind even though he is all knowing and perfect, oopsie!

Well I don't really have a GOOD argument for this, but I've always questioned that if you believe in life after death why are there so many MORE people now then say 500 years ago? Are we just a fragment of the person we once were? Or did we really come from all walks of life (I.E dogs, bears etc) It kind of relates, because I don't get the whole Adam & Eve biblical thing either!

God told Adam and Eve to multiply, and so they did, they both lived long lives and had generations of children. These intermarried, and it was not until the Levictical Law was having sexual relations with close relatives was forbidden.

Think about it, we are all part of Adam and Eve's family!

This is not an argument, you simply ask a question, and I am answering it.

The bible states that they tooks wives in the land of Nodd.Sorry, but I don't know where Nodd came from yet. You should also know that Caan was not of Adams seed. Eve was seduced by Satin and gave birth to a set of twins. Caan and Able. Seth was thier third child.

God made 2 perfect people and put them in a perfect world.
Those 2: Adam and Eve, bore children which Gen 5:4 implies were many. After naming Seth as one, it tells us they "had other sons and daughters". Hebrew history tells how many. I forget exactly but it was thrity-some. Hebrew legends say all children at the time were born with a twin and usually of the opposite sex.
Now scientists are coming to realize that has to be true to have populated the world as fast as we did. They also have come to realize that if not all, most us today are twins when in the womb but one either absorbs the other or the other dies off early from being weaker. If that sounds farfetched to you, think of siamese twins in the news or the 5 year old boy in India with a baby sibling half developed protuding out of his stomack still, or cats that are pregnant and reabsorb some or all of their kittens and never deliver or deliver fewer than first felt by the vet. Anyway, as time beyond and out of Eden went on the earth became more and more corrupt as stated in Gen 6:3 and 6:11 That mortality-progression to death, or corruption was both spiritual and physical. The earth is undergoing the same thing and so are all of its creatures. We know when something is corrupt it is changing, aging, coming apart so to speak: degnerating. Well, that is why Levitcal law had to tabu close family members marrying and that is why political government law does too.
When there is a spirital happening it affects the physical and visa versa. As man became more morally degenerate so did his genes. You may say it is from civilization and its chemicals and air pollution and all but all of those too are part of our moving out of Eden and God's plan. So when one branch of a family is handing down one broken or defective gene, another is handing down some other one peculiar to its lifestyle. If two closely related people marry they double the strength of those corrupted or defective genes they produce in the next generation. However, before we were that corrupted we could safely intermarry and did. Marrying a twin or other sibling but especially a twin, caused good things too to be stronger early in time. Have you not heard of ancient tribes that archeologists study bones and cells from the bones of? Cetain families all had certain muscles with attachments in slightly different places, or they all had big eyes, or slanted heads, etc while none of the other tribes did, or how the people in 1950 of Bastille French mountains were closed off from others and all had a bloodtype different from any in the world? They were a populous of 200 then, probably none around anymore the way civilization incroaches on everyone, but assuming they aren't, then now there are only o, A, and B or AB blood types in existance and that is it. Anyway, an old Hebrew legend says that while the scriptures tell us that Cain and Abel gave sacrifices and God was not pleased with the one Cain gave, that was not the whole of it. Cain was already in a brooding mif because he liked the looks of Abel's twin sister but she was promised to Abel. So Cain must of been thinking Abel gets all the breaks and I am sick of it! Then you would think after he killed Abel and ditched so that Abel's siblings wouldn't come get and kill him, and because God gave him the boot out of the house, that he would have taken his own twin (wife) and beat it, but the same history tells that he took Abel's twin for his wife and ran. So I hope you see, and I know scientists have started to, that Cain may have not bothered to offer a great sacrifice but he ewas an unhappy, brooding man and by killing Abel, he satisfied his desire. Satisfying desires is not the best remedy for life...so Cain went on the lamb-i mean he got out of Dodge, but now you know where his wife came from and probably how the beginning of traits and features began early-intermarriage, especially to twins. Today when we know we have a gene for MS or some other disease like PKU for example, we are advised even if our intended is a distant relative when they have the same defect, not to marry them and that is how we have been weeding alot of diseases out of our bloodlines. Ask any doctor about that. When everything was perfect yet or nearly so, we did have that worry. Hemophillia is one of the diseases that prevailed for eons and it did so primarily only in Royalty. Why? Because all of the Royal Houses intermarried. Today if someone is not in one of the immediate royal families and they have hemophillia, they can still trace their bloodlines to kings and queens! Inotherwords, they have Dukes, Dutchess, Marquises and such in their bloodlines.

adam and eve did have sons and daughters later in their life so maybe the sons married their sisters and were able to create a family line and they lived long in those days so they did have many children and multiplied and they settled in different parts of the world.

hey now you're a thinking babe

i think your first question should be like
"If all man comes from one parent, then why do we looked so differently"
Many believes that man originated from africa-should we be looking anyone like them but take a look at us-there's some blondies, white faces, blue.green purple small big eyes
the fact is-did anyone of your sibblings totally looked diffrently from your parents in a sense of having a diffrent coloured eyes..etc such that we could agree that man originated from africa

keep on-you're getting out of your shell babe
