Be real about it...tell him your feelings and tell him why it won't work out....and there is always that 'you never know what might happen in the future' thing....

tell him how you feel and i'm sure you'll feel better...... don't worry about his reaction just tell him..... because if you don't, you might regret it and have questions like "what if i told him?" "why didn't i tell him?"...... you'll be regreting that your whole life....
