I really think religious think it's sacred and holy in marriage.
Outside marriage it's considered misdirected.
So religious have a higher regard for sex than most others.

Being relegious means, that you are able to intract with GOD.
For intracting with God your mind should be concentrated in between your eyes, which is a very difficult task and could only be achieved by regular practice.
Now the act as stipulated by you is the way to loose concentration from the point, due to that a person is not able to perform meditation and as the concentration falls there is entrance of anger in our life, which again leads in spreading our concentration in world around us, which again causes problem.
So a relegious person keep away from the same, and as you know its a rule of society to marry, thus a relegious person just for the sake of completing his/her materialistic duties, go with it and live a life like a normal person

They just try to hide their pleasure from sex, especially if their religion dictates that pleasure from sex is a sin, as is the case among most monotheistic religions (Christianity, Islam and Judaism all consider open enjoyment of sex to be a sin.)

We just don't like how some people use other human beings as sex toys for their own gratification, with no love and no committment.

i know for a fact that christians have better sex than non christians..Because its only with one person and they can practice until its perfect..God loves seening married couples enjoying eachother
