Interesting pictures. One thing I noticed was that the men's and women's hands were treated differently.

The men's fingers were held together with a band and the women's fingers were not. When I wrapped my fingers like the men, viola! My pinky got longer!

Also, if you notice, the joint mounds on the palms of the men are rounded and wrinkled which means the joints are flexed, making the pinky look longer, look at the thumb joint. On a hand that is fully extended there would be no folding of the skin at the joint. On the pictures of the women's hands they are hyper-extended, making the pinky look shorter. In some pictures the palm is not shown at all, suggesting a bias in testing.

This is an excerpt from the report, "Moreover females belonging to Group C having a higher psychoticism score are therefore more prone to be troublesome, uncooperative, hostile, and socially withdrawn than females of Group A who with lower psychoticism score tend to be altruistic, socialized, empathic, and conventional. This characteristic personality in females in Group C may be responsible for social maladjustment problems and its sequelae."

Four things bother me about the report.

There is not a set standard for the pictures, what they show and don't show.

The male and female hands are treated differently and posed differently.

The differences between the male counterparts are not listed in the conclusion.

Their terms are subjective and not defined.

All in all, it sounds like a paper that will be used to confer 2nd class citizenship on females. I find it biased and subjective.

BTW my pinky is longer = )

Hope my feedback meets your requirements. Good luck.

It really depends-on how much I allow my pinky to 'ride up' the side of my 4th finger--either a few mm below or right at the line
