Sounds like nothing more than a marketing gimmick. What do you need to do to a 2006 or 2007 model diesel car to make it run on biodiesel?

Put a sticker on it that says it runs on biodiesel, but it can handle the new fuel without the sticker.

I say that because any diesel engine manufactured since about 2000 can run biodiesel without modifications. Cars made earlier can be retrofitted fairly inexpensively. It's easier if biodiesel is used exclusively, because it can dissolve diesel residue and cause clogged filters, but that situation can be dealt with, too.
