It's called a battery - look into it sometime

Small scale, you could use batteries or capacitiors, as others have alluded to. Someone also mentioned hydrogen, that is a good idea.

Theoretically it is possible.... all you need to do is create potential... just to visualize: say we use energy to roll a big rock up a big hill and secure the rock. The energy is now stored as potential. Then, when we release the rock, the energy is released. Find a way to convert the kinetic energy to electrity (say a rope wrapped around the rotor of a generator for this silly example, and there you go...). Anyway, you see the point, use the electricity today to create potenial and then release the potential to create electricity when you want it. Find a way to do it large scale and controlled, and you've solved your problem.

No technology has been discovered as yet which would make it possible to store electicity of a significantly large amount for a long time and use in the future.
Electrical energy is most conviniently strored by converting it into potential engery as in pumped storage hydroelectric projects provided suitable sites are available.

Batteries don't store forever...
I would use electricity to produce Hydrogen gas from Water, and store it in tanks, to be used in turbines to reproduce electricity later.

Dams store potential electricity for as long as you want you can generate electricity any time you want in vast quantity's using hydro power.

On a small scale, yes. We do this every day with things like batteries and capacitors.

yes on a small scale but on large scale it is not possible
