Saw this on Ali G last night when he was interviewing one of those American Christian 'all gays will burn in hell' types. Just curious to see how many Christians on Answers really believe this, and will own up to it.

Gays and non-Christians are still human beings, don't you think? We may not agree with their practices or beliefs, but they're still part of the human family and deserve respect and acceptance.

Judge not, lest ye be judged yourself.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

It is all about forgiveness, not hell and damnation!

But even the 'forgiveness' bit worries me. To 'forgive' needs a transgression - and therefore you still have made a judgement!

This is probably not going to be a popular answer but I am afraid that I have to admit that I think that a lot of gay people actually choose to be gay nowadays rather than it being the medical condition of old.

But I still do not think that I have any right to make judgement - I don't know how I would feel if I was in the same position!

The Christian faith is about relationship. Jesus wants all of us to want to relate with him. God looks at sin as sin he does not put a rating on it. Check out the 10 commandments. It will show you that you can't keep them and if that is the case we have a problem because the bible says the wages of sin is death.
So if Gods standards are so high what can we do about it?
The answer to that is nothing! Because Jesus did something for us by dying on the cross. He paid the price for our sin weather it be small in our eyes or big in the eyes of the world.
This is a gift and just like any gift the receiver has a choice if they want to receive the gift or not. I received that gift 4 years ago and I'm not gonna say my life has been easy because it's not and I fall into all kinds of crap. I struggle with looking at porn and saying things I should not but am I any different to say a person who is gay? God loves a person who is gay as much as he loves me. But from both of us he wants a relationship.
If we are not willing to first accept the gift he offers then one day he will withdraw that gift.
I hope this made a little sense.

Nope, Gay people will not burn in hell. Personally some of the people who claim to be Christians who say that "gays will go to hell" are most likely anti Christians who are just trying to make Christians look bad. There are lots of idiots like these on Yahoo!Answers.

PS: By any chance that guy on Ali G wasn't Fred Phelps was it?, because if it was Fred, he is just a azzhole, I think he may mental problem, I mean, he did take drugs while he was young.

Can't wait for the Rapture, the supposed time when Jesus removes all of the Christians from the planet...

Maybe then there will be peace on earth...

Note: I was baptised (with the 'Roman Cross' i.e the Mark of the Beast) a Christian, but do not follow any man made religion, and I am not an atheist.

As a practising Pagan a christian would say I am a stanist, but for this to be true I would have to be a christian as Satan himself was gods righthand man and fell to earth, apart from that christianity is a bastardised religeon steeling from others to pull in punters. for example christmas, Yule actualy, easter _Ester, all pagan festivals. Christ was born in March. and hears the big one--WHY DO CHRISTIANS WORSHIP A JEW. and not so long ago a pope tried to kick all jews from vatican city, not very christian.
So to sum up no one goes to heaven as there isnt one its all made up to stop week minded fools going madder than they already are.

I think those Kind of people (everyone else is going to hell) are some of the least educated Christians around... they read one passage and forget to go on through the rest of the book.

I'll own up to it. The Bible is pretty clear that all that don't know Jesus Christ will go to Hell.

I don't judge gays, God does that in his word. I'm concerned about the souls of my gay friends. They are believing a lie and according to the Bible, "will be damned." "Woe to those that call evil good and good evil."

Yes, I believe so because the Bible, the Inspired Word of God says so.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
