I have a 2006 Escape at 12000 miles the engine went it was in the shop for 26 days. It was in the shop again today at 13000 miles for transmission repair. Is it possible to find a dealership to take this off my hands even though I have just started a new job and I still have 2 years left on my lease??? I'm in Detroit,,,,,,,,

If it is truely a lemon you need to meet the requirments of your states lemon law.

You can get that information from your states DMV website.

Go down the check list. If the car meets the laws requirements for a lemon the take it back to the selling dealer and demand a replacement without penalty. If they refuse follow the arbitration process your state has set up.

Some times if you act ditsy enough and threaten the dealer with painting the car lemon yellow and driving it around his dealership with a big sign on the roof with a lemon painted on it with an insightful caption they will usually act quickly to resolve your problem.

You should be able to bring it back to the dealer for replacement, Check your states lemon laws...good luck!
