IN the old testament, Isameal children becomes great nation. And since Mohammed is from ismael children not isaac, What you ignore this part of the old testament? Why you only believe in Isaac children or Jewish?

Isameal was put out from Abraham!
He is the half brother to Isaac!
and yes they are great nations.
Eqypt, Sudi Araba, Iraq, Iran, Syria! to name a few!
But Gods chosen is still Israel!

Abraham was assured that Ishmael would be a great nation before he was sent away. He was sent away because of Sarah's jealousy that he was the sun of her maidservant. God later blessed Sarah with a child, who was named Isaac, and God clearly stated that his covenant with Abraham was to be fulfilled through Isaac, not Ishmael. You may argue that you disagree because this is from the Bible. But the Bible is much older than the Koran by over 2000 years, and the Bible is supported by fulfilled prophecy, prophecy which does not support the beliefs of Islam. Furthermore, the beliefs in the Koran stated by Muhammad are not supoported by eyewitnesses (except for Muhammad, but one eyewitness is not enough) and are not supported by fulfilled prophecy. That is why Ishmael is not seen beyond the Book of Genesis. It is not that we ignore the fact that Ishmael goes on to father many nations. The fact is that he is not a part of God's plan through his covenant with Abraham.

God said that he would make Abram the father of many nations! Ishmael and his descendants is one of those nations! Ishmael indeed is Abram's first born son. His mother Hagar, an egyptian handmaid(bondwoman)bare his to Abram. read this it will explain!

Small answer from a Christian. In my religion we don't ignore any scripture. We are right now studying the books of the Old Testament that were left out.

Genesis 21:12 explains God himself had chosen Isaac.
This does not mean that Ishmael was a bad guy.
The descendants of Abrahan had to come through someone.
Genesis 21:12 has God himself saying it is Isaac.
Ishmael was dealt a good hand, no reason to feel he was slighted.

There is no genetic proof that Mohammad is descended from Ishmael, nor is there any genetic evidence that all Arabs are descended from Ishmael.
Arabs like the Jews are a genetically heterogenous group of people. Both have their origins in the Middle East however.
The part of the Bible you are referring to predates the Quran by at least 1500 years.
I am a Jewish believer by the way.
