Absolutely true. You or I could do a better job than God. We are not insecure so we don't need to be continuallly praised.
Just killing the people that are bad instead of flooding the whole world is a better idea.
A more definitive set of rules than the ten commandments would help. Thou shall treat woman as equals. Thou shall not have slaves.

Whoever wrote that was a stupid, stupid man who is in hell right now being sodomized by demons!
"I see only with deep regret that God punishes so many of His children for their numerous stupidities, for which only He Himself can be held responsible; in my opinion, only His nonexistence could excuse Him." [Albert Einstein, letter to Edgar Meyer, Jan. 2, 1915).
Just kidding. Of course i agree with it. Here's another similar one.
"If the book [the Bible] and my brain are both the work of the same Infinite God, whose fault is it that the book and my brain do not agree?" [Robert G. Ingersoll, "Some Reasons Why", 1881]

Hello!! :o) I understand WHY someone might feel that way about God. But we are not God's EQUAL. Our inability to understand does not make God at fault. Sometimes when I'm talking to a person directly and they say something like that - I quietly think to myself, "I could beat you to a pulp. And we are equals. So where is the fear of God in this person?!" There are five word's missing from practically everyone's vocabulary. And this applies to their understanding of God and every opinion on every topic they might have from gays to abortion to capital punishment to war or whatever. And those five words are..... "I DO NOT FULLY UNDERSTAND!!" What most of the world lacks is humility. YES - that quote is something I could have said for it's often how I feel. But I also have to be courageous enough to accept those five all important words as being the ultimate TRUTH. Craig!! :o)

Whomever made this quote displays his ignorance well. For centuries, God has been calling His children to repent of their sins and obey Him. And through the centuries, God has punished his children for their sins. God is holy, and he has a standard. But we are unable to meet that standard. This is why He sent Christ to die for our sins. Romans 5:9 says, "Much more than, being now justified by His blood, we shall have peace from wrath through Him." We are all condemned because we are all sinners. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." And we face punishment for sin. But Jesus already took our place and took our punishment and died in our place. Those who put their trust in Christ, that He already paid the penalty for our sins, are cleansed of their sins and are sanctified, being justified as holy. Those who will be punished have not put their trust in Christ and have not receieved the grace of salvation. So the fact that God punishes his children for their stupidities is a testament to the amount of people that prefer a life of sin and have turned away from God. So the speaker of the quote is ignorant of the ways of God.

Nice. Sums up the futility of life and religion pretty succinctly, I'd say.
