First i would be concerned with whomever you talked to, was it a doc or counselor? Because they in one hour figured out what you couldn't in many, many years....I'm also concerned you feel your whole life depends on what was done to you in the past, seeking someone or something to blame things on is the easy way out, most people are this way....Your a prisoner in your own mind.....Time to get paroled
Here's what you need to do, you need to wake up in the morning and start fresh, it doesn't matter what was done to you in the past, dwelling on it will only make thing worse, your not living, your hiding.
Live each day as if it was your last, enjoy every moment, believe that you can be the person you want to be and not because someone made you that way....Hiding from life and dwelling on the past will only hold you back. Take the bull by the horns... forgive and forget... set yourself free...and believe in yourself.....It takes knowing there is a problem, confronting it and letting it go....You can not change the past, but you can take charge your future, start now....This is a new day....Good Luck.....

Try some self-help groups so you can talk to people that identify with your problems or a good psychologist that knows cognitive behavior therapy to change your thought patten which also changes the chemical imbalance to a degree .Medical Doctors are naive they only know what they read and are taught ,They don't know whats its like to experience psychological or mental issues ,They're programmed what to tell the patient and have a protocol to treat their ailments sorry to hear about all your dilemmas ,But there's always a light at the end on the tunnel I've been through a lot of BS myself

The first step to resolving a problem is acknowledging it.
Advice: Meditation works a lot. Start slow - try reading at a library where you don't have to interact but you are around people.
Look into different hobbies that you may want to pursue. If you don't go to a gym - join one. They offer different classes such as aerobics, yoga, etc. Those are very helpful in learning how to focus.
Remember not everyone has to like you and you don't have to like everyone still it does not mean they are bad people. It just means taht we are all different.
Take small steps and good luck!

Here is some help. As hard as it is you gotta stop thinking about yourself as a victim. No matter what hand you were dealt noone owes you anything and so you gotta make your own way in the world. I know its tough but you gotta stop feeling sorry for yourself and start liking who you are. As soon as you become your own best friend life becomes a hell of a lot easier
