it is in my c drive and i have tryed to reload it. each time it says to make sure it is valid and that i can access it. but i don't know what to do when i find it. I am not real handy with this stuff just know the simple stuff. can anyone help??

If you mean Microsoft Works 2000, It may be best to un-install it and re-install it using the CD and the key on the cd cover to install. Upon re-installation, short cuts will be set up and there should be an entry in start, all programs menu for Works as well.
If you are attempting to repair from the Add or Remove Programs in Windows, be sure you have your install CD in the CD drive. That is how the program checks to see if you have a valid copy of Works.
