you blokes have the priviledge to live in a peaceful country, have good education and most importantly, the opportunity to be closed to God. What about those who live in a war torn countries, the darkest and dirtiest corners in this world, they are illiterate, poor, and they mingle with drug lords and thugs, never in thieir entire ife have they heard of God, let alone diffrentiating the rights from wrongs.

So my question is, has God abandoned them? or God has not, they are there because it's meant to be, or pehaps they have a mission to fufill....what do you say?

p/s. if they ever have the opportunity to encounter God in their afterlife (hell, perhaps), he has every right to point the finger to god and accuse him of not providing a conducive enviroment for him to be closed to him, so, who's fault is it?

This is why we have missionaries. To ensure that no one is forgotten. But I have always wondered about that. What happens to those who don't have a chance to accept God? What happens to those babies who die at birth and those who never get to hear about God? But really, God has a plan for everyone, and He understands things that our minds can't even grasp. He knows what He's doing.

i think you have a pretty good idea that they're not forgotten, since you don't use that term at all in your passage.

which is what i'm trying to say. they're not forgotten. in fact, not to make them sound like objects, but they fulfil a purpose in the grand scheme of things. the Bible clearly states that until the good news is heard by everyone in this world, Jesus will not come back. that's y missionaries exist. if everyone in the world's heard of Jesus, then it remains to them to make the decision, and missionaries can spend more time with their families.

chances are, there aren't that many 'forgotten' people in this world. most cultures have a deity figure, which may not entirely fit into the description of God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit, but still require its followers to follow a certain moral code, live life as blamelessly as possible and then they'll receive their rewards in their afterlives. i mean, cmon. how bout if they speak a totally different language from us. who are we to say their god isn't God?

by the same token, who are we to decide receives forgiveness from God?

i heard a teaching elsewhere that kids who still don't know the differences between right or wrong who die are pardoned by God. i love kids, so i sincerely hope that's true. it'd break my heart if it's otherwise.

i hope this answers your question, and meanwhile i hope that Christians reading this will renew your efforts in reaching your unsaved loved ones.

agape.

the opportunities, provisions are there for one to seek anywhere
we've been given a choice and the choice we made are ours
it's their right of choice for them to lead their lifes

look at you and me, and all the fortunes in life
are we anywhere near god or will we be going to heaven?
are we anywhere better than the unfortunates with regards to community bonding, respect/care for one another?
we may be material riched but ethically?
frankly, we ourselves, the priviledged ones
don't really know the rights from the wrongs

do you think that god is really worry about the finger pointings?
in a snap your fingers are gone.

ask not what's god has been doing to us
but ask what have you done for him?

For more information to answer your question, read about the Dalits of India and the Christians.

http://www.csw.org.uk/Resources/Response/print.php?id=82

Some of the most downtrodden people on this earth got that way because of the selfishness and cruelty of other human beings, not the malevolence of God. Some of those same "crushed" people, such as the Dalit (which is literally an Indian word for "crushed"), are being visibly visited by God, and lifted up, by those who are obeying Christ's command to treat "the least of these" or "the forgotten ones," as you call them, as we would treat Christ himself. (God visits other "forgotten ones" in ways that are not so public, too.)

As for the ones who we THINK have never heard because they seem to be cut off from all Christian influence. (And I am aware that some of the "Christian" influence to which they MIGHT have been exposed has been 100% negative---the abuse these "forgotten ones" have suffered at the hands of "whites only" Christian bigots, or certain wolves in sheep's clothing evangelists, is just another heart-breaking addition to the heap.

Do you think God really looks down and sees a poor person with a humble heart, following Love as best he knows how, and God's up there saying: "BOY HOWDY, I sure hope the Christians get there before that poor guy keels and I have to send him to hell." Like the person before said, "C'MON." Christians are commanded to tell of Christ throughout the world, and to have a passion and urgency about that endeavor, but that doesn't mean that's the only way ALMIGHTY God has to get through to other human beings There are dreams, angels... I've heard stories....

God is a merciful and righteous judge. I think of the parable of the poor man, who took crumbs from underneath the table of the rich man, to whom he showed nothing but selfishness and contempt. Who went to heaven and who went to hell? God said to the rich man, "YOU had your good things on earth, and now the poor man who loved me will have the good things for eternity."

It's a matter of perspective. Good things for a little while, or good things for eternity? Not that one has to choose between living in a cardboard box and following God, but the Bible makes it clear that God is on the side of the poor. They are patient for judgment, as He is. Good thing, or the rich might never have a chance to learn to share their good things.

God has not abandonded anybody!! God has a plan for everyone. We feel hurt, when someone close to us dies! But Only god, knows the plan he has reserved for that person!!
Nobody has a right to ask, or get angry at God!! Let alone ask him!! Soon his Son will come, and we shall see our plans!!

Hey, we look alike...and I love coffee! lol

Ok, I don't believe in "God", at least as you are speaking. There is no entity that has final say on what happens after we die. So, it was meant to be, because we, as the human race, didn't appropriately care for our fellow humans. We have been too busy killing each other in stupid wars.

After humans exterminate themselves, hopefully a more sensible race of intelligent beings will take over.

It's their mission to complete. God doesn't abandon anyone. You leave on your own. God is always there, it's your perspective to accept it or not.

Knock and it shall be opened.

Well, you also find godless, filthy, illiterate and poor people in places you consider "educated, and god loving people". However, certain people fear all people to be educated, they fear they may take over all their pleasures and turn it to pain.
