I perfer to allow the bugs to fly about and smack into the glass. Bug shield devices really ugly up the front of many trucks and did you ever notice almost no sedans and sports car use them? Style vs Function

what it does and it changes the wind direction as it come over your car hood...so that when you drive and a bug cames at your car it gets picked up by that wind turbulance and it gets thrown out of the way of your windshield that is why you dont get bugs splating on your windshield when you have a bug shield on the front of your car hood...
