completed way before it sees the light of the day.that means what you are doing now are all preplanned by god, your book has already predetermined what profession you are in, who are your parents, how many kids you have or will have or even when you will die. Things that happen, it happen for a reason. you are given a mission to complete when you are sent to this world, it may be for a good reason or otherwise. do you presume god didn't know the child who were born 40 years ago will one day become a president or chief of aterrorist group? You may argue that its your free will and your choices, but is that so? if you can't decide who your parents and siblings are, when are you born and die, accidents, good look bad look, race, and so on then, what makes you think you actually have a free will to decide what to do in your life?

i dont think anyones life is preplaned. what would be the fun in that, god gives you the right to make mistakes, and then repair them or not.

There is a fatal error in this line of logic. As the Big Bang states, all matter in the Universe was created about 13 billion years ago. This was also the moment that time began. We are finite mortal beings who perceive everything in a linear fashion. Everything we know is part of a timeline, with a beginning and end. God is eternal. He transcends our space/time dimensions. Time is irrelevant to Him. This is a difficult concept to event attempt to grasp, and no one will ever truely understanding any infinite concept in this lifetime. However, this does not preclude free will. Although God does know what choices you are going to make before you make them. He still allows you to make the decisions. It is a matter of perspective.

Ok noooow i get what you are saying! lol u had me confused before, wow thats an interesting topic, one that i use to ask alot, but what i came to found is that when God made us in His image He gave us choice, and in doing that He kind of gave up some of His power as in He cant really force us to do good, (tho i dont hitnk He would anyway) so when it says He knows the end from the beggining the way i think of it is that He knows us so well He can predict what we are gonna do no matter which path we choose, like if we chose left alll the time wats the probability of us choosing left again? but its still even deeper than that because God knows the outcome on if you go left or right, like originally God had wanted Moses to speak for himself, but moses complained that he wasnt a good speaker so God had Aaron there because He knew what Moses was like. But ok heres another way i look at it, imagine sitting on top of a mountain an seeing to cars driving towards each other, now as you look at these cars you see theres one path that theyre both on and the cars are driving top speed towards each other, now you can tell from way off that they are gonna hit each other becuase looking at the situation thats jus bound to happen. well i hope i kinda cleared it up for you at least, its hard to try and type something that would be soo much easier jus to say but i hope this helps somebody.. anybody

To claim you are wrong would to be to claim that God is not all knowing.
The reason what you have came up with is not more popular is because this just further proves that the God of the Bible is the most evil character in all of fiction. He knew before people were born that they would be eternally tortured, yet chose to make them anyways. Your freewill does not get God off the hook if he is indeed all knowing.

On one hand we would be like toys for "God".. All the props are setup for an obstacle course just to see how we fall or if we would make it to Heaven or Hell. Any conscious being would just refuse to play this sick game.
On the other, we are free to explore and learn. Do your best -- or worse! Then perhaps we would begin to appreciate what a marvelous thing life is. As for the ending. Who knows?
Blue pill or Red pill, it is your choice.

Predestination makes us into robots. Freewill makes us human.
There are some statements in the bible which are inaccurate.
Try reading "Misquoting Jesus" by Bart D. Ehrman. The book may be a little confusing for some but you'll get the gist.
And lay off the coffee, coffee.

Free will. You decide your life, which body you go into, and speak before hand of your family and friends to have and hope it works out the way you planned with them. Remember, free will. When we come, we have a veil that we forget out 'True' selves to do our mission and it doesn't always go as you have agreed with others. Only if we knew we could, but that's like cheating. What would be the point? No fixed future. It can be changed.

I think you have the right idea for the wrong reason. It is settled not because the choices were made for us but that God being present in all time is in our future and knows what we will do because to Him we have already done it. Jesus when He told the Pharisees who He is the I AM, also told us that God is outside time. Before Abraham was I AM He said.. Time is meaningless to God....Jim

I had a similar discussion today on this topic.
The person I talked to believes we all act how God made us to act and react and all of our actions are predetermined. That all murderers and pedofiles down to the smallest sin is predetermind and whatever road we choose is in the hands of God. If she has a glass of wine...God predetermined that. If a man rapes...God wanted that woman raped, etc.
That's about it I guess...we dont have choice...we are robots, preprogrammed and He already knows who's going to Heaven and who goes to Hell. He knows everything and no matter what you do....?????????????????? That totally sucks! He knew I'd say that.

I don't understand why you take the idea of our lives being written in a book, and it's actually our names written in the book of life by the way (like a members charter), as proof of determinism.
And you should NOT capitalize the g in god. Why would you, that's not his name even in the christian religion!

God has the capability to see everything, but he rarely uses that ability. Otherwise, he would not be loving and not giving us the choice, as he does all through the Bible.
