i filled out all the paper work and they found date of leave, but i have to gain about 10 lbs in 3 week. i dont know how i tried w/e, sitting lazy eating fatty foods eating every 2-3 hrs eating veggies/fruits etc etc but i dont gain it, taking those supplement powders dont either. i'm just worried cause i quit my job thinking i would leave soon and when my recruiter told me i need to gain it, he hasnt told me what till happen if i havent gained it during my BMT leave. i just wanna know what will happen and what i can do about it, will they still let me in or how does it work?

Return you where you come from. To avoid this situation, you must eat as much as you could.

I don't thinking being underweight is as serious as being overweight, (to the Air Force). So, you want to at least try and get close. When i was going to BMT, the girl I was going with was OVERweight and they sent her home from MEPS. But your recruiter should know how seriously they take it, because they don't want you to get sent home. If they do send you away you will probably just have to wait until you gain some weight.

Although my answer might be dated, I was in a similar situation many years ago..being 7 lbs underweight. I did make the weight, but just barely via lots of thick crust pizza (carbs).. bananas are also great for putting on weight. Weight lifting will help also because muscles weigh more than fat, and those muscles will come in handy in Oct.
If you can get the weight on, those habits of carbs and bananas will only help you. The running/aerobic training burns out electrolyles and potassium.

Good Luck

Coconut Cream Pie with a lot of whip cream. A lot of pizza. Carbohydrates and dairy are good for gaining weight. Do not overdo it because the USAF need healthy people.

I have never known anyone to be underweight. My advice would be not to risk it. You have three weeks and should be able to atleast get close to that weight. Just double up on your food now but keep working on push ups and sit ups.

Think of it as a free pass to have McDonalds as many times as you want.

if you're still underweight when you get to bmt then you will be one of the lucky ones that gets to sit down at eat alot of food. they will sit down with you and watch you eat everything. The other trainees will not like you due to the fact that they only get one minute from when they sit at the table to eat. good luck.

All schools shut down for Christmas so you'll get that special exodus at home before reporting to tech.
