I have been studying Islam now for a while. And i like it. But there is no Mosque around where i live. I live in a rural area. I was wondering how do you convert. Can a white male convert. Because everytime i see a muslism on T.V. their always of dark skin.

Poki Poki already answer u on how to convert to Islam. N Islam is for everyone. I think there is a verse somewhere in the Quran which says to this effect (I'm not writing not word to word so I think u'll find many many misakes) that no black can pass over white n no white over black, nor an arab on a slave, nor a slave over an free man. The best is the one who is the most pious. So here is ur answer to 'can a white guy conver to Islam?"
I don't know what to do about no mosque being in ur area. So I guess U R thinking, how do I pray and that sort of stuff. U don't neccearily have to go to a mosque to pray. U can pray at home. If u have any questions about Islam, contact here: http://www.irf.net

Islam is for all human-kind, without the distinction of white/black, male/female, Arab/non-Arab.
I welcome u to Islam and The Muslim Community whole-heartedly, and May ALLAH Bless u, since u have seen The Truth, by urself.
My brother, if there is no Mosque in ur area, can u find a Muslim or two? and if u can't find in ur area, u can go to the nearest city which has a Mosque? and if u can't do that, then Muslims here can bear witness to ur conversion. Just say :
La'ilaha il-lalaahu Mohammadun Rasool ALLAH
or in English
There is No Deity Worth Worship But ALLAH, Mohammad is The Prophet of ALLAH.
Though after saying this, u'll be a Muslim (by ALLAH's Grace), but still it will be better, if u can go to a Mosque in a nearby city, and Testify there, infront of witnesses present actually there.

Yes anyone can convert to islam regardless of skin color. I was in the same position (white female with no mosque around). So I said the shahada between me and Allah until i got the chance to go to a mosque and do it . The website below has a mosque finder

yes,The teachings of Islam state that the Muslim community should coexist in complete harmony and tolerance with people of other religious communities. The Qur’an prescribes that as long as the other communities do not oppress the members of the Muslim community, they ought to coexist in love and tolerance. it's great you are learning about Islam and when you convert if you wish you will know more about this beautiful religion!!
Islam is a religion for ALL mankind regardeless of skin color or back ground.
next step you wanna do is to find a Masjid near by and get to know the people there, i'm sure they are kind people and will welcome you with open arms and help you in all your needs whether religious needs or other wise.
Islam is about brotherhood.
of course you can convert all you need to do is say the shahada
Ash Hadu Anna La Elaha illa Allah, Muhammad Rasulu Allah.

salaams man.welcome home.pay no mind to the jealous among them.its natural for them to feel that way when they continue to lose their own to something they dont understand.Allah says they are a people devoid of understanding.it is only the shaytan who would frighten you with non-Muslims who cant bear to see the facts as they unfold right before their eyes.Islam is the truth.they have already shown you how they feel about you in their answers and they dont know anything about you other than your planning on leaving them.black people tend to accept Islam because of the love Christians historically showed us.my wife of 12 yrs is white.former catholic school/church girl.so yes Islam will accept you,as we have been accepting disaffected Christians for ever.may Allah give you guidance,amin.

you can be purple and still become a muslim
i suggest you go online.. oops i guess you are right now.. and find people or mosque near by you. you must be really sure and understand what a muslim is. i am very sure there are my brothers in islam that would gladly teach you.
to convert in islam you must studies it first, learned the ways of a muslim and then you can convert.

ya'll need to do a little research. Muslim is one of the most peaceful religions there is. Its asshole fanatics that give it a bad name. And anyone whos like "ooo build a mosque and wear bombstraps" are ignorant, and base there opinion soely on what they see on the news, without bothering to check on the validity of what they are saying. Which makes them not only ignorant, but incredibly stupid.

ok dude ive heard of everything, you read a book and are facinated , not really converted but fasc. How can you say you want to be a muslim when you havnt sought spiritual guidance or got anything out of it????????What dys think it is a club? Let me tell you something i seen a new pastor who use to be in islam, he was a wealthy eygyptian who got sick ,,,he called on the god of allah and nothing happened to him,,,then he caled on Jesus and he got well,,quit islam and became an evangelist for christ.To this day he swears he`ll never go back to islam.

It doesn't matter the color of your skin. You can believe whatever you want to believe. So if this brings you peace go forth. You'll have to search again for a mosque but there are ways for you to practise what that is you want to. Let no one stand in your path to enlightenment. Blessed be and Peace be with you.
