Well... those are all very interesting answers.... lol

My favorite wine depends on the food I'm eating (or if I'm drinking it without food) but here are some favorites in several categories and non of them will break the bank (most are under $10):

Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc
Hogue Fume Blanc
Trimbach Riesling
J. Lohr Bay Mist Riesling
Bonny Doon Pacific Rim Riesling
Fetzer Valley Oaks Gewurztraminer
Montecillo Rioja Crianza
Duck Pond Pinot Noir
Firesteed Pinot Noir
Columbia Crest Two Vines Merlot
Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon
Santa Cristina (Antinori) Sangiovese
Straccali Chianti
Citra Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
Concha Y Toro Frontera Cabernet/Merlot
Rosemount Diamond Label Shiraz

Tons of wines from Trader Joe's... you can get good, everyday, very drinkable stuff from there for about $5 a bottle... just start exploring...

Two of my higher dollar favorites? Cakebread Chardonnay and David Bruce Petite Syrah :)

I'm partial to merlot in the red department, and to me the expensive ones aren't necessarily the best. For a white wine, I like sauvignon blanc. Sutter Home makes both in a reasonable price range.

White Zinfandel.. I love it.. to the point where I indulged in a bottle of it at one sitting on several occasions. I went through a phase where it was the only liquor I'd consume. But wine makes me too sleepy so that came to an end rather quickly. (I HATE Pinot Grigio)

I haven't really got a favourite wine.
But I do prefer wines from the southern hemisphere
to those from the north.
They seem to be a little less acidic.
Australian and South African are my top two.

Wine is gross and gives me a horrible headache within minutes of drinking it. I honestly don't see why so many people drink it.. same goes for beer..yuck
