I've asked this question in several different religious chat rooms, but no one can give me a straight answer. They must think I'm insulting them or something... Can someone give me an answer?

And to what point and purpose do they gather there?

Yes, sadly I used to go to those to disrupt. Not anymore though. But what is discussed regarding religion?

It is a place where people can go and talk about their religion with others who share the same religion. Likewise its also a place where people can go so they dont have to deal with the remarks and other questions they choose not to take part in. A place where they can talk freely with out getting judged. A place for people so they aren't forcing their religion on others that dont share the same religion as them.
Why do they gather there? Cause they dont want to have to deal with people insulting them. It's a good place for them to all meet and talk about things thing they all share interests in such as religion.

The religious chat rooms are meant for people to discuss religion, but sadly like the Christian chat rooms, they are used by many people who want to come in and talk dirty, slander others, and are just out to disrupt. There are times however, when I have enjoyed the fellowship of other Christians, when then they are used for their original purpose.

It's a place for religious people with the Internet to congregate.
Religion is a similar interest for many people such as some TV show is to others.
Their purpose is to talk about their common interest, it's a CHATroom. What else are they supposed to do there?

why do so many listen to political talk radio? The hosts are usually know-it-all's and think they are always the right ones with the right answers. Have all of them, collectively, made a difference? Or do these show exist only to allow those with opinions to vent their frustrations or to tell everyone who listens that they have all the right ideas?

I dont know. I asked a question on a religious question to the room and they told me to google for websites! Seems they dont want to talk about it unless you disagree with it. I guess its no fun if you agree.

for exchange of ideas and for some, for arguing with others. some are intent on using it as a means to share what they believe. Isnt that nice?
Now I think the orgaizerz/makers of these means, they want to accommodate the religious and their debators and others who are interested in religoins for whatever reasons.

Well, I come on here to learn and share what I believe.
It is my understanding that they are provided for discussions - exchange of ideas.

it's where people talk about religions (of course) and when the main topic is like god...or sometimes people there argue because they have different religions

I THINK RELIGIOUS CHAT ROOMS SHOULD BE FOR POSITIVE MATURE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO LEARN EACH OTHERS THOUGHTS AND BELIEFS, BUT INPATIENT CONFUSED PEOPLE MESS IT ALL UP.
