The Triunity of God can be likened to a plant. Stem, leaf and root constitute but one plant; each has a distinction incommunicable to the other two; none is the plant without the other two; each with the other two is the plant.

Father, Son and the Holy Spirit are ONE GOD; each has a property incommunicable to the other two; none is God without the other two; each with the other two is God.

Water for example, has three forms: solid ice, liquid water and invisible vapour, but it is always H20.

Hope this helps!

God Is One
God is described as “one” in Deuteronomy 6:4, 1 Kings 8:60, Isaiah 44:8 and numerous other passages. For example, Deuteronomy 6:4 says “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!” The word for “one” is the Hebrew word ‘echad. (This Old Testament text was originally written in Hebrew). This is the same Hebrew word that is used for “one” in Genesis 2:24—Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

In case you haven’t noticed when a man and woman are married they do not melt into one human being, becoming some sort of hybrid. Yet, they do become “one.” We could cite other examples, but we have made our point.

God Is More Than One
Genesis 1:26, Genesis 3:22, Genesis 11:7, Isaiah 6:8, and other passages are examples of conversations within which God uses the word “we” or “us.” However, God is not referring to any others (people, angels, etc.) in these verses. Since God is having a conversation, the “we” and “us” must therefore refer to the Trinity. You might say that God speaks to Himself in the plural form.

The Trinity Is God
Matthew 28:16-20 is a passage referred to as “The Great Commission.” In verse 19, Jesus states, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”

Why did Jesus tell his eleven disciples to baptize people in the names of all three members of the Trinity? Why not one or two? It is obvious from this passage that the entire Trinity is God.

Jesus Is God
We understand that many people agree that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit exist. (We are sure that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are relieved to hear that! ) These same people may even agree that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are “working together.” However, the followers of several cults are taught that Jesus is “just a prophet,” or “only the son of God”—not God. This wrong viewpoint is easily clarified by looking at two Bible verses: Isaiah 9:6, and Isaiah 43:12 (below).

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God [0410],
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 43:12
I have declared and saved,
I have proclaimed,
And there was no foreign god among you;
Therefore you are My witnesses,”
Says the LORD [03068], “that I am God [0410].”

Notice the numbers in brackets that we placed in the text. Those numbers indicate the “Strong’s Numbers” of those particular words. Strong’s Numbers are index numbers in a document called a “Strong’s Concordance” that allow someone who only reads English to understand what the Bible’s original Hebrew words are. For example, the number [03068] refers to the Hebrew word YHWH. This word is usually written in English as LORD, Jehovah, or (phonetically) Y@hovah. Similarly, the number [0410] refers to the Hebrew word ‘el, which is normally written in English as God.

[Mat 28:19] Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit,

Footnote:

[1] Therefore: since universal power belongs to the risen Jesus (Matthew 28:18), he gives the eleven a mission that is universal. They are to make disciples of all nations. While all nations is understood by some scholars as referring only to all Gentiles, it is probable that it included the Jews as well. Baptizing them: baptism is the means of entrance into the community of the risen one, the Church. In the name of the Father . . . holy Spirit: this is perhaps the clearest expression in the New Testament of trinitarian belief. It may have been the baptismal formula of Matthew's church, but primarily it designates the effect of baptism, the union of the one baptized with the Father, Son, and holy Spirit.

I hope this helps you. One can only accept the Holy Trinity on faith, it can not be proved. It is one of the mysteries we will understand when we are in heaven, and we will have all eternity to ponder the wonder of it.

Ok well i could give you texts and texts and texts tryna explain to you what this thing really is, but how bout i try and use the one that I believe God used to explain to us and the rest of the universe. That is Adam and Eve, or man i guess u could say. Well see the Bible says "Let Us make man in our own image" now that is alooot deeper than we really take it for. Ok so God made Adam and breathed in the breath of life to Him righ? and then he taught Him about the tree and such and such right? then when He created woman he took out adams rib, a part of Adam and formed her, but he did not have to breathe the breath of life into her or teach her about the treee because it was already in her because she was a part of Adam, Adam and Eve were a part of each other, Adam and Eve were Man. Ok so John 1:1 says "in the beggining was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word was with God" then goes on to say the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, now this Word was Jesus, got that. Ight so now lets parallel this right God the father could be symbolized by Adam, and God the Son can be symbolized by Eve, so Eve is the word or voice of Adam, so that is why the serpant had to talk to Eve with the temptation and she had to take it to Adam, the same way of how we bring out prayers to Jesus, and he takes them to the father. So you see when we were created in His image,w e are creaetd to represent Him. As an example to all the world of who and what God is, because that concept is hard for anyone and any being to grasp for jus tow things being one, let alont three, I havent even got into the Holy Spirit side of it yet, but see I could be preachin on here forever because this subject intrigues me, but I hope what ive told you can at least help a little, lol
God Bless

Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are called the Godhead. They are unified in purpose. Each has an important assignment in the plan of salvation. Our Heavenly Father is our Father and ruler. Jesus Christ is our Savior. The Holy Ghost is the revealer and testifier of all truth.

The Bible uses the term Godhead, not trinity. Each is a separate person.

We all grappled with this at one time or another! Start with genesis Ch.18 where the Lord appeared to Abraham "and he lifter up his eyes and 3 men stood by him and he ran to meet them and said "my Lord" (singular) he saw 3 men and recognized them as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit but also knew that these 3 are one so he addressed them as singular "My Lord" Think of a chair, It has 3 dimensions and it is impossible to take away one of the dimensions and still have 2 left. Take away the height and the whole chair disappears, same with the length and width.
I am a Father and I am also a son and I am a husband, brother, uncle, nephew, brother-in-law, cousin,father-in-law and whilst I am all these things I am still only one person.
This is why Jesus could say that he who has seen me has seen the Father also and "I and my Father are one" It all starts to fall into place as time wears on as I also had problems with the aspect of the Lord.
Note 1St John CH.5 Verse 7 as this may help you also.

I can give you advice on the trinity not being correct:

When he speaks as we: he was talking to at least Jesus, if not the millions of angels that he created.

Jesus referred to his God, and called out to his God when he was dying. How can you have a God and be a God. (Not logical)

Jesus stated that the father is greater than he is, so how can all in the trinity be equal without calling Jesus a liar?

Jesus stated that he and his father were one, just as he wanted his followers to be one. That meant unity, not being the same being. Same passage refers to them all being in union with one another.

This discussion can be quite long, especially since the scriptures need to be referred to and read. IF you want more of a discussion - you can email me (click on my avatar and it will take you to my profile and then you can send an email through Yahoo

Part of the reason no man has an excuse is because God represents Himself in everything. Take the idea of space it's self. There is only one space.. It's made up of height, width, and breadth. Each is an infinite dimension, right? Therefore each, by the definition of infinite, contains all space. But all three to make up space... God is just like that each is everything. Yet together they are the one true God.....Jim
