no i would not buy it if people don't know what they are doing on a rear-end differential id tell them to take it in to the shop if you don't get the back-lashing set right the first time your starting all over and when your paying for bearings ring and pinons seals and so on it gets costly

Not at all. I might replace my rearend with a salvaged unit, but I wouldn't tear into it. You'd need special tools.

However, that being said. I mght go to the LIBRARY and check out the book to read up on what it would take to fix it...then I'd go pay to have it done and save my time for wrenching on the things I understand, like the engine and trans.
