I assume you mean the Bay Area in Northern California?

Any doctor's office should be able to write you a lab order for a TB test. They are routinely given to government workers, and also to many people who work with the public. Just ask your doctor for an order.

The test usually administered is the skin scratch test, and you will need to follow up a few days after you first go in so they can read your reaction. The test involves scratching your skin and then putting inactive TB in the scratch. If you have any TB antibodies (which I do, as I was innoculated for it as a child), you will have a reaction which is a lot like a big blister on your arm. If you have never had an innoculation, and you test positive (which is determined by the size of the resulting blister), it means you have TB antibodies, so you have been exposed to it at some point, and you will be asked to follow up with chest x-rays, and those will show if you have any TB lesions in your lungs.
