I am doing a school project and need to know if a pager on a remote control already exist. (like the pager on a cordless phone you use if you lost your phone) If so what is the name of the company that bought this out? Would you buy one? Is this a good idea? If not why ?

Yes in there was an article in a Readers Digest about remote controls for tv and how it's increased the couch potato's and also a suggestion to keep your remote on the TV so you don't have to hunt for it! If the remote was
on the TV you might as well use the buttons!
I think that was Readers Digest idea or maybe it was ment as a pun! following that article was an advertisement of a belt that holds a remote.
Good idea for 1 person home but not so good for a place with more than one there'd be argument who gets to wear the belt that holds the remote! No article noticed about pagers though!

I think it's a great idea. We are always losing the remote around the house. However, the pager would have to be a button on the TV that would make the remote beep; it couldn't be only part of the remote.

I have no idea whether this has ever been made.

Yes I have :) I took it and threw it out the window of my car :) I know it can be replaced, no big deal, but in the meantime while you get the other remote, they have to get up and change the volume, channel... haha!
