If one was to look at your question seriously, by examining the first sentence you used, one would see the question itself as being somewhat disrespectful.
For instance, consider what you said regarding how Jews see Islam and Christianity. Errant (wrong), younger(not grown as much)siblings(no distinction between them but a close relationship) This characterization of the way Jews often see Islam and Christianity , is patently condescending. Can you see how this question, as you have posed it ,is already fraught with disrespect and insult? . Although the broad generalization regarding the Christian viewpoint may match somewhat one of the many sentiments some Christian may have , how can one address something seriously with loaded oversimplifications and assumptions. Truthfulness would be a good start. Not politics. But at least on the surface, to give you credit, if I understand really what you are trying to propose I think that indeed it would the dream of not only Christians, Jews and Islam but most of humanity if we all respected each other and just got along. Live and let live. Even if we have to give up our own backyard. That may be one of those realities. Thank you for the effort.
Question? in a recent response to a Muslim's question you derided him by writing" you are starting to sound like a Christian". Now Rabbi, who is the real Rabbi , peace amongst all or , now with this Muslim , lets watch out for the Christians.! Shalom

Is there a way for the three different religions to share their faith perspectives. Surely. Is there a way for Christianity to ACCEPT the other two religions. No. It is integral to Christian faith that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Sadly neither Jews nor Muslims accept Him for who and what He is.

it would serve us all well if that could be achieved.
I think that it will take the wisest and most Godly men and women of all these decedents of Abraham to bring us all together.
The Baha'i Faith makes the union of all human desire to be with the Divine a basic tenet of it's faith. LOL that faith is reviled by Muslims though.

There are 24 prophets with Adam the 1st and Muhammed the final. those are the 24 elders stated interior the e book of Revelations. Jesus is the son of God because of the fact a million. numerous references interior the bible quote God actual saying this and 2. he's the only individual who comes a 2nd time. The confusion on the subject of the status of Jesus comes from the blending up of Christ (Spirit being) and Jesus (the physique that christ used). Jesus, the physique that Christ used grew to become into the son of Mary (born to Mary), while Christ got here without postpone from God. The Bible says "the observe grew to become flesh" = Christ grew to become into born interior the physique of Jesus and that's what the Koran says, this is authentic. however the Christ section is lacking. for this reason technically speaking Chrsit is the Son of God. however the physique that he used (Jesus) for sure gets an extra suitable status because of the very severe being that grew to become into utilising him. all the different prophets have been in user-friendly terms the better of an extremely undesirable lot of human beings on the planet, who have been utilized with the help of God to warn and coach human beings. remember we are all additionally Human + Beings = physique + Spirit. this is basically that our spirits are locked in earth because of the fact the punishment for following devil (backyard of Eden)

Honorable Rabbi,
We, Muslims, have been taught for fourteen hundred years that there shall be a re-union, in which the followers of Sayyidana Moosa (Our Master Moses, upon whom be peace), the followers of Sayyidana Eesa (Our Master Jesus, upon whom be peace) and our Prophet's followers will unite one day in spirit because there is no other alternative.
We share the common Lord, the Most High, the Emperor of Emperors. We also share the core concepts of belief. If you compare the differences between the practices of Abraham and those that were instituted after Moses (p) came, they are a lot more pronounced than say between the Muslims and Jewish folks.
Abraham did not know the name of his BELOVED, or if he did, he did not reveal it to anyone!! He did not even ask, it seems, as Moses did. He was content. He KNEW the LORD ALMIGHTY, name did not matter to him. How many two year olds know the names of their moms? Do they not know their moms?
Divinity of Christ is a stickler, but all one has to do is follow Jesus (p) and not the apostles, and the issue is cleared up very easily. Jesus (p) was offended with a man who called him good teacher!! Can you imagine the humility of that great spiritual man who answered do not call me good, ONLY THE LORD ALMIGHTY IS GOOD!!
Jewish folks and Muslims have a lot more in common than meets the eye. There are no deep philosophical conflicts with them. We love and honor all the great prophets, seers and kings of Israel. Our Prophet fought his own kith and kin to establish the name of Israel among his own people, while eradicating the religion and tradition of his own ancestors. He firmly established the names and works of the great ones of Israel and their traditions are accepted and adopted as a part of Islam among the arabs FIRST, before they were exported to other nations.
In my personal view he kept the essence of Judaism and the names of those who represented that essence, without simply becoming an agent for the Jewish folks. If the Arabs of his time would have understood that he was instituting the essence of Judaism in place of their own religion, Islam would have been fought with a far worse intensity than it was. The Prophet of Islam understood that, so he had to maintain a distance from the Jewish folks, even fought wars with those who were willing to join ranks with the pagan Arabs. The ultimate result was I know the name of Moses(p) and would be honored to be called a slave of Moses (p) thanks to the Prophet of Islam.
In my personal belief the Lord Most High kept the work of the Prophet of Islam alive so that the final chapter may be written and the two brothers Isaac and Ishmael shall meet once more as they did to bury their father, Abraham to unite the nations one more time, in the name of Abraham and his BELOVED, and our common connection of Monotheism becomes the foundation of peace, which the Quran invokes time and again.
If contentious issues are kept on the back burner, and people focus on areas of agreement, peace can be formed sooner by avoiding unnecessary bloodshed of the innocent on all sides.
We all know who we are calling when we call Him Almighty, whatever name we take. Whether the mother is called Mom, mummy, mum, mama or mother, she knows who is being called, and the caller knows who he/she is calling.
I honestly believe in the words of the Prophet who said that the work of Moses and the work of Jesus shall not go away until Judgment day. If the Jewish folks convert to Islam and abandon their rich traditions for which many paid terrible price, then in a way we are saying the words of the Prophet are a lie. The Jewish folks have to remain Jewish for the words of the Prophet of Islam to be true. The same is true for the Christians. If the Christians truly follow Christ, they would almost become Jewish themselves, while staying gentile!!
I will quote three verses from the Quran to support my above points (Please check the exact words at www.hti.umich.edu/k/koran):
Quran 2:62: "Believers (Muslims), Jews, Christians, Sabeans and all those who believe in the One Almighty and the Day of Judgment and do good works have nothing to fear or to regret....."
(Quran 5:69 repeats this almost word for word)
Quran 22:39-40 "Permission to fight is given to those who have been thrown out of their homes for no reason but for believing in the One Lord...... Had the Almighty not used some to fight others, all monasteries, churches, synagogues and mosques would have been utterly destroyed where the name of the Almighty is daily celebrated.... "
It is clear from the above verses that all traditions have to be simultaneously alive, while respecting each other. If Muslims want the Jewish faith to go away, they are asking the Lord destroy the works of Moses, which is a very unreasonable and unIslamic stand to take, when our Master Moses (p) abandoned the comforts of the Palaces of the Pharoah for the sake of the enslaved of Israel.
His work shall NEVER GO AWAY!! It is a promise from the Lord that shall be fulfilled till the Earth and the Heavens are folded. In fact if all Jews would abandon the traditions of Moses (which is unlikely) it would be incumbent on some of the Muslims to re-adopt them to keep the works of Moses (p) alive!
The same is true for the work of Jesus (p). In my personal view Jesus (p) wanted to institute the essence of Judaism to be established for the gentiles, which is "Hear O Israel, the LORD IS ONE! and everything branches from that Core Enlightenment. Had the Jewish people heeded Jesus and supported him or the gentiles followed him, the need for our Prophet would perhaps been eliminated.
But, the Lord had decreed that a son of Ishmael shall establish the love of the sons of Isaac and ultimately a great son of Isaac (the Moshiach) would do the same for our Prophet and his work one day soon. It is ironic that the pride of Sarah and the insolence of Hagar got us into so much trouble, but how much richer life is!!
Ultimately the Good Lord is in Command. He showed that He, Almighty can do ANYTHING and needs NO ONE to establish Monotheism or His Grand Laws. He, Almighty could take a penniless orphan from the backwaters of Arabia who had no prior history of any accomplishments and re-establish the traditions of Abraham, Moses, David and Jesus among the nations in a mere 10 years and establish him (our Prophet) to become the reinforcer of the grand traditions of the great ones of Israel without any visible resources across the globe and become the fountainhead of many kingdoms and lines of kings across the World.
Irony is arrogance gets the good people of the monotheistic tradition in trouble time and again including the Muslims, Jews and Christians. When we will humble ourselves in front of the Almighty all problems in my view will vanish into thin air and the Kingdom of the LORD shall be established across the physical World as well as the hearts and minds of the people!!
A Jewish person could then be Jewish without fear or prejudice, and a Christian could truly follow Christ while a Muslim could be a Muslim and help each other in giving mankind the place it deserves on this Earth.
Thank you for asking the question. I am sorry the answer had to be as long, so there is no confusion about the issues.
May the Good Lord bless the peace makers on all sides. Amen.
