If you think you should go see a psycologist or something why not try talking to a school councelor. They may be able to help you, abd help you to get your mom to take you seriously.

Hi, I've had OCD since I was 9. And in really sounds like your starting to show the classic symptoms. Do yourself the biggest favor your will ever do for yourself. Go to a Doctor now. Don't wait until the patterns and behaviors get more ingrained in your everyday life. This will only make them many more times harder to change. I speak from experience. When I was young, no one heard of OCD and I suffered and just got worse. You're so lucky they're treatments that work. Yes the meds do have side effects. But, a good doctor will keep trying different types and dosage levels until your feeling optimal. Plus some of them wear off after a while. I went from the worst level of OCD "Paralyzing" to functional and believe me it's amazing. So get help as soon as you can, don't be worried, things can get better. And as far as your mom, she just doesn't know what it's like. She really can't, only we who are in the "club" know the feeling. Talk to your Sis and Dad. Sincerely, Charley

If it runs in the family it could be possible that you have inherited it. It's possible to have an obsessive compulsive personality without having the disorder. It's only a disorder when it interrupts your normal life. Like if you are spending a lot of time doing hand washing rituals and stuff. If you are getting hit with balls in gym because of a ritual you feel you have to do like wiping your skin when being touched then it's possible it could be OCD but only a Dr can make that diagnosis.

Are you getting enough sleep?
Seritonin is a factor for OCD. It's the chemical that makes signals from your brain get to your body.
I take a small amount of a prescription med called an SSRI to keep it moving and in the right direction. (Not backing up.)
But you can get something from health food stores that does the same thing.
Ask there or your pharmacist what they have to aid Seritonin.
One thing is called St. John's Wort. (Not wart. It's a kind of plant.)
There are two common things that aid Seritonin. Excercise, like walking or riding a bike, and chocolate.
I vote for chocolate!
p.s. You know you have OCD if you insist on spelling it CDO because that the order the letters should be in.

Definitely see a doctor, there are medications now that really help. Don't suffer through this alone. Sounds strange but go to www.drphil.com and see if there is a message board or chat room there on the subject, then you won't feel so alone and may get some good suggestions.

I'm not sure. my doctor said there is medication but bad side effects. I have it too. It sucks, I hate it. I think it started when I was young, in church. if someone was sick or breathed on me I would hold my breath for a while. and what's with this shaking hands in church. in winter, people with colds etc. then you're suppose to shake hands. And what really did me in is public bathrooms. people go #2 and don't wash there hands. then grab the door handle to go out. and you're like right, I'll be touching that.
It never ends.

I suggest getting some info about it to show your mother, just to let her know just how much OCD takes control of your whole being. I have OCD. Why live your life with this FRUSTRATING thing that you have to constantly deal with and think about, it's just not worth it. I take Lamictal. I think you should see your doc to get some meds for it. Because it IS a CHEMICAL IMBALANCE, and that's a real thing.

Ask your mom to take you to a psychologist or psychiatrist, who can evaluate your mental health. After the evaluation, the doctor can make recommendations. You might be surprised about whether your mom will do it or not.
If your mom doesn't want to do take you for an evaluation, you can refer yourself. Ask a school counselor for advice.
