Fat loss can't be localized. When you lose fat, you lose it all over. For example, if you do sit ups, which concentrate on the stomach muscles (not stomach fat) you fat loss will not be concentrated on your stomach. What you'll do is make your stomach muscles a little stronger, hurt you lower back a lot, and lose some fat all over your body. Your best approach to losing fat, is to do the exercise with is least abusive to you. From those you listed, I'd recommend walking. You can make it brisk walking if you like--that will burn fat faster than just regular walking. Forget sprinting, jogging, and running. You may not see the damage right away, but in years to come, your knees and ankles will suffer. That's because those activities are rough on your knees and ankles. That old saying "run for your life" that you see in commercials is a bunch of crap. It's just designed to sell running shoes. They are after your money, and don't give a rip about your well being. They sit in boardrooms and laugh at the thought that by the time you figure it out it'll be too late. They'll have gotten your money, and you'll be in pain from all those years of abusing your knee and ankle joints. Trust me on this one. I'm not trying to sell you anything.

Also, you can check with your doctor, or government owned health websites, or with consumer protection groups.

Try the following : do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.

Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read fitness magazines, like Shape and Fitness for motivation and tips.

Good luck and stick at it.

Anyone that said situps is wrong. They will make your core muscles stronger, but won't get rid of the fat at all. If you mean fast in terms of days, then any of them. It is all about burning calories. Walking for an hour is about the same as jogging 30 minutes in terms of calories burned. You need to burn the maximum number of calories you can in order to lose the fat. It depends on how much time you want to devote to exercise... also, the healthier your diet is, the faster you will lose it.

None of the above.
Do Crunches. Lay on the floor with ya bum close to the lounge and put your legs on the lounge. Then cross your arms over your chest and lift your head and shoulders until your chin touches your chest. Do 4 sets of 12 for starters.

Good Luck
