I think for the most part Americans are friendly. But get tired of hearing the complaints from immigrants that live here that their not treated fairly. Please. Their not Americans but have just as much rights as those that are Americans. I believe if their country is so much better and their goverment is so much better then why come to America. Espeically if you hate Americans so much. I wouldn't want to live somewhere that I hate the people. It's more jealouse feelings then anything. They all look at all Americans as being rich and having it all. Well not true. If you look then you will see ther are so many Americans out of a job and no home for their family to live yet if your an immigrant our goverment will help support you and you family. Immigrants seem to have more rights then any American has ever had. Americans fought for their rights and for their freedom and if push came to shove I believe it could happen again. And who would blame Americans for that. It would be the same in other countires. If Americans began to move to your countries and your goverment provided jobs and homes and excused them for not understanding the language How would you feel then???

Sure, we're friendly to those who respect the policy of our nation and come here legally. I have no respect for those who sneak into my country's borders by the thousands each day, break the law, demand free healthcare, money, and a place to live. If immigrants come to America, they should take the resonsibility of being a true American. If they don't support America 110%, they should go back to Mexico or any other country that they came from. If they're here illegally - They should be picked up and deported. If they come back here and break more laws, they should be taken into custody and let the American people and Minutemen deal with them. No foreign flag waving or spanish national anthems here in America. This is the United States, not Amexico, not Mexicali. We speak English here, not Spanglish. One nation, one language. Period.

It's just common sense that ILLEGAL immigration needs to be stopped, as there are only so many resources our nation has. We do not want our land over run with OTHER countries criminals, as we have plenty of our own. As for LEGAL immigration, it is how our country was founded and therefore how could we not embrace those who use the laws we have in place and comply to become a citizen of our country. We cannot simply allow anybody who wants to come to our country to enter and live unchecked as it is a different world we live in since 9/11...as well as the ramifications it has on our taxes and welfare systems.

America can be very friendly to immigrants, but currently, with many Mexicans protesting our policies on legal and illegals, many Americans have taken a sour view. The Mexicans protesting have not helped matters by insisting on waving the Mexican flags, especially since 9/11..If these people truly want to be Americans, they should show it. You did not see Germans flying the flag of Germany during WW2. they embraced who they became. Don't give up your culture, just embrace America. But I think that all of this has made it harder on those that try to come here legally.

We are the most immigrant friendly country in history. Our immigration policy is practically socialistic. We let illegal immigrants take advantage of us. The difference between an illegal and a regular immigrant are huge. Its like one is your family and one is a burglar

Depends from what country you might be immigrating, where in the states you will be settling in, and what are your cultural beliefs and how well they blend with American culture. I immigrated to the States 8 years ago from europe and I have had a pretty nice welcome. BUT I have immigrated legally and I am a law abiding, tax paying resident. I know some people who do not even look at me because I am from somewhere else... BUT Most people have been very nice to me. As long as one respects the country he/she lives in everything will be alright. Leave politics and your opinions about the people in power to yourself and you will be ok:)

Ideologically no, but compared to other countries' the US has accepted a lot (in millions) of immigrants and gave them a green card so you can say they are friendly only in comparison with other countries
