No way my friend! If you start with a note, you'll never stand a chance. For the love of god just sack up and talk to her like she's just anybody. You get yourself so hyped up about just starting a convo with her that you lose the race before you even start. It's so true that simply initiating a conversation is HALF THE BATTLE! Just make some mindless day to day chit chat with her (preferably funny if you have that skill) to get things started. Nothing awkward at all and just take it from there. Trying to start with a note is suicide!

no notes. please, no notes! most girls would find a note from a guy they don't know well kinda creepy. no offense- i know you have good intentions and all.
the best thing to do is discard this "i'm shy" attitude. it's just an excuse to mask the simple fact that you are scared. and there's nothing wrong with being scared- it's just that there's no point in being scared! the worst that can happen is that she snubs you. and any girl who snubs a guy that says "hey, what's up?" is not worth getting to know anyway.
just remember- keep the conversation casual and friendly. don't lay it on thick, romeo, until you've gotten to know her better and know what she wants in a guy.

I would say no to the note. You need to at least have a few conversations first. Then you might be able to pass her a note in class asking her to go out with you. Be clever about it.

I don't think I'd go with a note- even though it seems easier it might seem impersonal. I guess it depends on how old you are though. If you are younger it might work - you never know until you try.
Do you have any mutual friends so you could hang out that way?

No note unlss you are 13 or 14 then a note is great, sit down next to her and make a joke, that is the easy way to do it

dont write her a note if you haven't spoken to her yet. its always best to introduce yourself verbally...its more personal and it shows you have confidence. if you write her a note, she will think youre hiding something...thats never good. my advice is either go up to her and introduce yourself or try and try to put yourself in a position where you two can talk. even if its really brief, you can use it as a way to introduce yourself. since you two are in the same class, i suggest sitting next to or at least near her. after you finally speak to her, you can start writing her notes...but always remember that personal conversations are always best when it comes to getting to one another.
