I hope so. If there isn't, then we forget about our entire lives right after we die. While I don't embrace any of the organized religions, I do believe in God and an afterlife. Instead of Heaven and Hell, I think that everyone gets a unique judgement based entirely on how they lived their lives. To pigeonhole everyone into two extreme categories doesn't seem very logical, rational, or just. I'd be interested in looking into near-death and out-of-body experiences.

Yes. When we die our spirit exits our body and goes into a place called "Spirit World" where we wait for the resurrection. There are two parts of the Spirit World. Paradise and Spirit Prison. There we wait until we will be resurrected for the Final Judgement, and then we will go to our "place" to be forever... either in a good place or a bad place. We will become immortal with perfect bodies.

The Soul comprises of a Spirit and a Body. Without one or the other it is not the Soul, entirely, although the Spirit has sometimes been referred to as the Soul itself. Our personality, talents, feelings, thoughts, etc., all come from our Spirit. Our body is a funtioning instrument, or "temple", which our Spirit controls, keeps alive and houses.

Think of a glove on your hand. The glove is your body and your hand is your spirit. The glove is only alive when your hand is in it. But when you take your hand out the glove becomes motionless, lifeless; an empty shell. In the Resurrection your Spirit will reunite again with your body, but only this time your body will be perfect and immortal, never to taste of death, illness, disease again.

John 5:25; 11:25; Acts 24:15; 26:8; 1 Corinthians 15:29; 15:32; 15:52; Ephesians 5:14; 1 Thesalonians 4:16; 2 Timothy 2:8; Hebrews 11:4; James 2:26; 1 Peter 4:6;
There are many many more scriptures throughout the Bible that speak of life after death, Resurrection and more.
Just look it up and see for yourself.
The Bible is the word of God. I testify of this.
Good luck and enjoy! :)

Life goes on forever. Energy doesn't disappear, it just changes form. I'm quite surprised by the answers given thus far. I thought we were further evolved as a people than what's reflected in these answers. When one says "this life is all there is, and since life after death hasn't been proven, I don't believe in it," it still surprises me. READ!!!! Open your mind. Be skeptical, but think. So much information is out there now to prove, undeniably, that life goes on after death. Read Jess Stern, Ian Stevenson, Raymond Moody. If you're curious, if you're a seeker, there's a wealth of information available. Open yourself to it, and you will find what you're seeking. I wish you the best.

There is a life before death. What are you doing about it?

The Bible says that the dead know not anything (Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) Life after death only happens at the resurrection at the second coming of Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18). There are more references, just don't have time to look 'em all up.

Yes i do believe that thers is life after death

When a man dies, his body returns to dust and his non-physical self (spirit/soul) returns to God where he continues as a disembodied spirit continues in a conscious state awaiting judgment.

The best Bible verse that describes what happens when we die is Luke 16 (rich man and Lazarus)
Both died, their spirits were carried away by the angels, where they were fully conscious.
At resurrection, all the dead, good and bad, will be made immortal. 1 Cor 15:54, after which they will either enter heaven or suffer eternal torment, being immortal.

yes
vcause like a labour who work hard the whole day and get wage in the evening.so god the creator who created man and gave a aim of life will ask the human that how much work he has done and obey his command.good will reward and bad will punish.so to reward and punish life after death is justice.

Absolutely. I know that I've been alive since at least January 2004, and lots of people have died before that. I suspect that after I pass on that life will go on for most people. :-)

(I know that it's not the answer that you are looking for, but it is an interesting way of looking at it, especially as my Buddhists beliefs are rather more complex than a simple answer.)

Your soul is all of you. The soul is kept alive by the spirit of God and it is only temporary to us as we are born in sin Num.16:22; Eccl.12; It belongs to God and returns back to him. James 2:26; Luke 8:50,52,54,55 [ her spirit came back into her and she was a living soul ]; Psm.104:29,30 [ the spirit comes back into them as if they are created out of the dust ]; Eze.37:12-14; Isa.26:19; Acts 24:15; John 5:26-29; Dan.12:2;
Rev.20:1-6,12,13; [ The dead do not know any thing at all Psm.115:15-17' 146:3,4 ];
Acts 2:31-35; Jesus was resurrected out of sepulchre hell, David remained in Sepulchre hell. 1Cor,15:22; As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Heb.9:27; It is appointed unto man one to die and after that the judgement. John 12:47,48; Judged by the word of God.
Souls were created. Souls after are born and die. Souls are resurrected.
The world that Satan has been in from Eden will end when Jesus comes to reign 1000 years to make all as new as it was before Eden Eph.3:21; World of Jesus is world without end.
It is angels spirits that play tricks on humans they will face judgement as well 1Cor,6:2,3; Jude 6; 2Pet.3:4; Matt.12:43-45; Jesus said resist these and they will flee from you, do not try to contact them.
