She should have her puppies in approx. 1 week. Now's the time to introduce her to her whelping box, in a quiet room, with lots of newspapers and an old blanket. Let her start nesting and get comfortable in there. She'll let you know when she's ready to whelp, her temp. will drop, she'll stop eating, act restless. Stay close to her in case she needs (or wants) your help. Have some old towels in case she wants help drying the puppies, you may want to cut the cords and tie them rather than let her do it, because a lot of mothers are too rough and can cause hernias. Make sure when the puppies are born, they're breathing ok. Dogs like to eat their afterbirth and 1 or 2 are good for them, but you might want to take the rest away so she doesn't get the runs. Personally, I would have to tell you that breeding only kills more dogs and puts more on the streets. I strongly recommend spaying. Sorry, I'm with the SPCA and see hundreds dying every week.

SHE WILL BE DUE IN ANOTHER 6-7 DAYS. START GETTING HER WHELPING BOX READY IN A QUIET SPOT. AND BE HOME WITH HER AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. GOOD LUCK , READ UP ON WHELPING IN CASE SHE NEEDS YOUR HELP!.
