Especially since we do... :/

What we don't believe is that he is the son of god, especially not god himself.

I would guess it is because Islam does not STOP with Jesus; it treats him as an important prophet (I've never studied the religion in any depth; please forgive my ignorance; I'm just trying to explain the perspective) and goes on to the next one.

Christians believe that b/c Jesus is God that there is no further need for knowledge or communications from God. Hence the Bible ends with Jesus.

FYI: "Messiah" by definition means "a professed or accepted leader of some hope or cause" -- not necessarily the child of God, just a born leader, presumably who will champion for all time.

If you have access to the Holy Bible read John 1:1 it will tell you "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" and in John 1:14 say "and so the WORD BECAME FLESH and took a place among us for a time; and we saw his glory--such glory as is given to an only son by his father--saw it to be true and full of grace." If you believe in the Holy Word you should believe the whole Word. "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; AND LEAN NOT unto thine own understanding".

The messiah was to be the ONE God would send to deliver all mankind from sin. The only way that it is possible to deliver us from sin is to be the PERFECT sacrifice. Having no spot nor blemish. Only the perfect sacrifice , the Son of God, would be capable of taking the sins of the entire world onto His shoulders. So it is impossible for Jesus to be "the Messiah" without being the Son of God.

Christians are infact pagans who worship 3 gods. Jews and Muslims worship God of Abraham. Not Trinity, Son of God, Holy Ghost etc, what a bunch of non-sense in Christianity.!

I guess there is a common misconception. What it actually is is the belief that Jesus is one of the prophets chosen by Alla and Mujammed is the Cheif prophet. Which is a lie from hell. Anyone that does not confess that Jesus is Lord has the spirit of Anti-Christ according to the word of Almighty Jehovah God. ANd anyone who does not recieve the Son does not have the Father either.

In that case, what is the meaning of the word "messiah" to you? My understanding is the Islam recognizes Jesus as a prophet, which is not the same as messiah (which to me means "saviour")

Then YOU DON'T BELIEVE HE'S THE MESSIAH. The Messiah IS the Son of God.

Since you as a muslim dont believe He is the messiah or the son of God, then you really dont belive in Jesus, you just believe He is a prophet and that He existed at one point. So you dont really
"believe" in Him.

and to Muslim: reading the diarrhea you just posted, obviously you dont know ANYTHING about Christianity, DONT TALK ABOUT THINGS YOU DONT KNOW AND STOP OFFENDING OTHER PEOPLES BELIEFS.
Because if it comes to that there is ENDLESS material about islam
