This is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen my dog do. He will lick my female dog's pee after she goes. Why is he doing this? Is this normal? I'd have to say these two dogs are most abnormal dogs I've ever seen in more ways than one.

Uh, there's no way she's in heat. She's been spayed. He hasn't been neutered though.

It is absolutely normal canine behavior...whether pets or wild dogs..
Most animals do this..I have raised many farm animals, domestic and exotic..all do this..

I'm not sure, but I do know my old, blind dog has more energy when he is running to find the spot where my female dog has went!!!

He may be checking to make sure she isn't in heat. Doesn't it make you think about letting dogs lick your face?

the pheromones in the urine identify who it comes from. that's how marking their territory works.
