Ask Jesus to make Himself more real to you...He will. He is Lord and God. He is still working in my life and the lives of others today.

SIR, FORGET THE RELIGIONS, That will help stop a lot of the confusion, but know this "lift a rock and GOD is there" yep it is confusing but understand???? needed to bring a bunch of aniamels to some sort of civelized behaver. ie. the concept is like a babysitter that never leaves. It was known the idea of religions would cause deaths and wars but the other seneareo was much worse. A world without a chance to ever leave behind its barbarick stages. It is universal tryed and proved throughout this timeline.
As far as an afterlife well thats not just something made up by or for religions. That truth is ingrained in our DNA you well allways feel it tuging at you whether or not you had ever heard of a god Like a new born babe and the instenct to suckel thus your denouncement. You cant see it you cant touch it yet you can feel it. Its less iratating to acsept it.

Tha Goose,
So, you have times when you believe that there may be something to all of this? I would say that the reason why is because there is something to all of this. I have already found it, I hope that you can too.
I was thinking the same way for a lot of my life. I was depressed to think that my life was it. I wanted to believe that there was more to it. I just didn't know what, or where. I didn't even know where to look. But eventually things got so bad that it was either suicide or take a chance with God.
So I delayed the suicidal plan for a time to see if God would either lift me up, or crush me. He lifted me up. And here I am. I don't have to wonder any more. Life isn't without it's problems, but I can trust God to get me through, whatever it is.
If you ask Him in secret, you are doing what Jesus said to do, Pray in secret, just you and Him.

You sound like an Agnostic. Nothing wrong with that either, I know plenty of folks that would definately be considered Agnostic, too, and they don't seemed to bothered by it. I always enjoy conversations with them because they truly are searching and exploring (and since I enjoy studying, searching, and exploring myself....my religion allows it). They are always a joy to be with because they can really help keep things into perspective in the exploring. Sometimes they come up with questions that I'd never think to ask and sometimes they ponder aspects that my mind hadn't contemplated. Most of my friends don't say they're confused, they say that they're exploring or enjoying the journey. Naturally they waver between theist and atheist, but they don't feel condemned about having to choose either. As one says "why must it be this way or that way, what if it is somehow a little of both or what if both are just completely wrong altogether."
Basically, fear not. All my friends seem to be exploring and searching and as they do they gain newer and newer perspectives from which to look at the subject from. They tend to be the most unbiased of them all.

Yes, yes you are. My general theory is that religion was invented for the same reason as money. Society could not have functioned without it. It allowed people an easy way to feel better about themselves by pleasing the god/s when they had done something wrong. ie. Christians went to confession, Ancient Romans sacrificed and gave offerings, it also gave them an explanation for the unexplained and when something went wrong or they screwed up they could call it the will of God instead of having to face the truth.
So my answer is it doesn't matter is there is a God or not because even if they/he/she do/does exist your the only person that's going to get you through the life that your leading. Just don't kill anyone and then you will appease any god/s if they do exist.

Religion...Waste of time. Biggest GAMBLE of all. Suppose you're wrong? Suppose you picked the WRONG one? Ohhhh geez, that would suck wouldn't it? Wasted all that time jumping through all those hoops when you could've been doing something PRODUCTIVE?
EVERYONE knows what's right and wrong. Do more good than bad. You'll feel better about yourself. What do you need a "god" for? A safety net? Good things and bad things happen to everyone. You need to be able to be strong, roll with the punches and keep movin forward!
You can't know everything. There are some things we just don't know (yet). So, get comfortable with that and you'll be able to live a much happier life.
I'm NOT a confused guy...

I'd say at this point the best thing to do would be to research many possible answers to your questions. Read some books about philosophy, go to a church, a mosque, or anything in the area. Most importantly keep an open mind to all possibilities. I believe that people to turn to religion/God to answer questions in their lives or their existance, but you can find answers anywhere so look everywhere.

You need to pray about it. God is not the author of confusion 1 Corinthians 14:33.... If you just ask God..... to reveal himself to you he will. People are so misguided... We believe that God is this untouchable being and that he's far away and angry and mean and austere when he is the exact opposite. In Genesis it says that God was saddened with the people of the world... God was sad! He is so into us! Listen, to me! Satan doesn't want you to have a relationship with God and therefore he keeps you confused... Not knowing what to believe. Dont believe in a religion! Believe in God! He is the truth and will lead you to salvation. We are living in a world that is filled with alot of spiritual things and we need his guidance. Im not asking you to open a bible or go to a church. I am asking you to open your heart and let God in! He will tell you what is right and what isnt. And I know that you will be amazed at what he shows you.

Bless you for acknowledging it. Lots of ppl just make fun or say they don't believe when they are not really sure. They are afraid to ask b/c they may ask wrong-but there is no wrong way to ask about God.I want you to understand that religion is not Christianity. To be saved or ask Jesus to be the Lord and Master of your life you must ask Him for forgivness for your past sins and ask him to come into your heart.Religion is the way different ppl decide to worship as Christians, or other beliefs. That is why there are so many different types of churches. You may want to believe but haven't found the best suitable place to worship and learn about God and His plan for you.I will pray that you will come to know God and to live as He wants you to live. He sent His Son Jesus to show us how to be good Christains and how to witness and pray. We are to love everyone unconditionally, be peaceful, and helpers and live in a manner that others can tell that we are different and want to know why. Just living right can be a very powerful witness for God.Best wishes for a very wonderful eternity!

Congratulations!!
you are an athiest, as an athiest, you are guaranteed a seat in hell next to me! our runner up will enjoy being whiped with fire!
Of course, wondering weather god is real or not is one of those questions that we on earth will never answer, however I am athiest, and believe that there is are superior beings, wether they are almighty, and all powerfull. well...
to answer your question:
it is not bad to believe that god is real or not, only according to the bible, but then again that old thing isn't 100% true, now is it.
In the end, if there is a god, earth is just a sims game, and we are the latest line-up of charecters, and of course, with every new event in history is kinda like an expansion pack, I cant wait till earth2 robotic body replacement edition comes out!
Jk
