i have vlc media player but it does not produce sound from the videos transferred from my ericsson k700i.can anyone suggest a better 3gp player?and also it should be a freeware which i can dwld from the net.if possible also mention the name of the dwld site

TRY zoom player. i am sure it will work. do a search in google so will get it.
new quick time will also support 3gp files. it will be there in ur cd that came along with ur mobile.
