No. An individual committing suicide will not go to heaven unless he/she is mentally ill. On the other hand, those that commit suicide are usually too depressed to think clearly.

Life can get better. If someone you know is talking about suicide, call 911 and get him/her help for their depression. If you are thinking about ending your life, please seek help from a professional.

This is a silly, naive and childish notion. People take their own lives all the time and they do so when they are in great emotional turmoil and pain. Isolation and depression do terrible things to a person. People contemplating suicide are in the greatest need of human as well as divine comfort, for G-d to reject the soul of a completed suicide victim would be G-d not keeping His side of the bargain. Suicide is also a great source of hurt to family and friends and we must also be mindful of them, as I am sure G-d is. Please, if you want to talk more about this contact me by e-mail. From there I will send you my phone details in England, where you can call any time, day or night. You have me worried petel. May the face of G-d gaze upon you.

According to Hinduism, it is a sin. Sister, I've been through stuff in my life when I was even thinking about such drastic measures. I kept calling on God and eventually he came through for me. He never gives us more than we can handle. Sometimes he even tests our faith in him. Hindus believe in Karma so whatever we go through now are results of actions in past lives. By committing suicide, we interrupt our karma, we don't make the negative karma go away. Any karma which we have to work out will work itself out in another lifetime if not this one. Therefore, you don't go to heaven if you have unresolved karma. By committing suicide you will even bring more negative karma upon yourself.

Depends on the brand of religion you use. For Roman Catholic, suicide is a mortal sin AND since your're dead, you can't ask forgiveness while still alive. QED.

Other faiths, other rules.

Some would say that it is selfish to commit suicide because one would not take into consideration the ones he/she loved.
