My religion does not say anything of the sort. We're not an "organized" religion per se. Wicca is a personal choice, and it is best if it's an educated one. We do not see one religion as being better than another as long as the religion--not the religious adherents, perhaps, but the basic tenets of the religion--do not advocate forcing others to do anything they don't want to. Our chief tenet is "And it harm none, do what you will." It WOULD be hypocritical of us to force our religion on others. Since it is a pretty young religion, maybe that will happen someday. It isn't happening now, though, so I can definitely say that it's not.
Also, you should understand that it's not the religion's fault that the people who claim to practice it are hypocritical. You can usually find one or two true adherents to every religion if you look hard enough. Unfortunately, there's also an awful lot of people who give lip service to the religion, proclaim widely that they are of that religion, and then their actions are completely against the religion's teachings. It happens with all religions, though, so you really should attribute it more to the individual instead of the religion.

You need to understand that the bible is a story book and only a story book. There is no god of any kind and never has been. Where are all of the gods of the past? They died out as people started finding ways to get people to come to their belief and give their money. It is a money game. People are after money and power and will get it by any scam they can come up with.
Do you really think giving 20% of your pay will get you to heaven or do you think it helps pay for the new limo for the pastor to ride in to church and to the football game? I don't think god needs money. If he is real he would just make the money. Why do churches beg so much for money? Just turn on your tv and you will see it. Why would they want you to come to their church? I think the bible says only 100,000 people are going to heaven anyway. Did you know there are over 6 billion people on earth right now? Millions die a year and millions are born a year. Your chances of being one of the chosen ones are less then wining the Power Ball lottery. Power Ball is 324 millon to one. being one of the 100,000 compaired to 6 billion alive right now and the billions that have already died are very slim.
There is no god and if there was your chances are none of going to heaven.

Religions themselves are not hypocritical, but rather those who claim to practice them to the letter are. There are many who are true to their religions (Wiccan, pagan and witches mainly) but others of the "secular" religions are not able to be true due to the twisted interpretations they have on a Jewish text of religious practices (the bible, after all is a jewish religious book. Jesus was Jewish, so who are the Christians following?).

often thought this, its a tough question to answer, I think that any particular religion at its roots, has its value, and some people find those values higher then others. Where the problem comes is wether or not the people view their values higher then others. I see this every day in serveral different religious groups either in person or on tv/news, and people often do not follow the pillars of faith of the religion that they cling to.

All religions are hypocritical because all religions are made up of imperfect humans. Only God is perfect. But don't let the presence of hypocrisy in Christianity turn you off. Christians are not going to heaven because they are perfect and lack hypocrisy. They are going to heaven because they have put their trust in the Son of God. Through His grace, our imperfections and inadequacies are washed away. Heaven will be filled with Christians who have spent their lives battling against their imperfections and hypocrisies but have been rewarded for their faith in the Son of God.

It's not the religions themselves, it's the people who create them.

religions are hypocritical. the underlying tenet is the same; however they differ in interpretation and implementation of the main reference - the Bible. it's not that one's better. it's just different.
