i've had dreams about a guy i went to school with.on and off, over the years.lately, though, the dreams have been more vivid.the thing is,though,i got over that high school crush years ago.me and this guy both came from different worlds.he was popular and well-known in school.i was very, very shy,and not well-known.i never thought that he would notice me. the kind of guy who's always been drawn to me,is usually the insecure, not popular, just kind of like me type of guy.the guy who doesn't have a lot of friends,he might be shy, awkward with girls, have some problems with self-esteem,etc.i don't know why i keep having these dreams.i mean,i don't expect to find a guy like him.someone like him, wouldn't give me the time of day.what's important to me,is finding someone who's nice, who treats me well, and who's fun to be with.money, looks, and all that other stuff, isn't really important.
why am i having these dreams,if i got over that crush years ago?it doesn't make sense to me.can someone help me?

Found an interesting question and wanted to offer my take on it....Yes, I think it is possible in the sense that lighting does strike twice and in the same place, but it is very rare occurrence....Meaning.... If this was meant to be it can and would happen, but statistical odds are against this from happening.

Now to get on with the why I think this... From my rudimentary understanding of dreams....Dreams are an extension of your consciousness into your subconscious.

This subconscious handles issues that you would not normally be able to deal with in an awaken state....Now if what I said has any basis or you feel may have some ring of truth to it and from reading your question I think it may....Then perhaps marrying this guy is really your inability to identify these values in yourself, but on a subconscious level you may really believe that you can be popular, well know, and fit into this different world in which you dream.

You simply have not brought this onto a conscious level yet, but the potential is there. :)

Maybe you got over the guy, but not over the feelings. You may not want him, but you want what you believed he had to offer you, and how being with him would make you feel.

Find ways to work on your self-esteem. As your feelings about yourself change, what you feel you need from a partner will change too.

If your dreams involve a meat cleaver, running over him with a car, him having sex with your sister and best friend & your life as future single mother then you are ready to marry him. P.S. Sign a prenup if you make more money than he does.

i don't know why he is in your dreams, but i think that it would be impossible for you to dream of the guy you are going to marry--you might not have even met him yet...
