Obey thy mother and thy father.
Trust me.. they lived their life.. they have more knowledge and usually know what the outcome will be if you do or dont do something. They are more than 98% right in most cases. Yes obey them. Youll agree in the long run.

You probably won't like my answer but I have to say yes, you need to obey her. Unless it's somehing illegal or truly harmful like putting you at risk to buy her drugs, stealing, etc. I think you know what I mean.
Even though it may seem unreasonable at the time, she has her reasons and she knows what's better for you than you know. I don't mean that to sound condescending. But trust me, I can look back now and see my parents were a lot smarter than what I gave them credit for at the time I was a teen. Parents do everything for a reason even if it doesn't seem fair or reasonable right now.
And have you ever asked her why she asks you to do certain things? I don't mean in a hateful, questioning authority sort of way, but just ask her nicely why if you really want to know. maybe she'd be willing to talk to you and explain things. Her answers might really surprise you and make a lot of sense.
But ultimately, she makes the rules and everyone will be safer if you obey them.
Good luck to you.

You know what, Moms ALWAYS want whats best for their children. Its a natural instinct thing. If they feel that you are heading in the wrong direction, they are going to speak up and tell you the way in which they feel is right. This may not be what you want to hear, but give you Mom a chance to reason with you. Listen to what she has to say and try to find out why she has those feelings. We Moms were teens too and have generally 'been there, done that' . Please don' think we were born yesterday, we know what you you kids get up to. If you have a serious beef with your Mom over something, make her sit down and listen to you, but make sure you can back up your reasons with something sensible, don't get all huffy and teenager-ish. Act mature and you may just get a compromise. Good luck.

moms have the wealth of knowledge and experience that generally superior as compared to teens' capacity. Given the very fact that moms experience what teens had once experience(*they are once a teen too!) what they say are usually those that brings out the best of their kids. On top of that, they would not want their child to do something wrong.
However, they are not always right. Probably, intellectually teens have better knowing of what is right and what is wrong as compared to young kids. Teen should know that if your parents calls you to steal, you obviously don't obey!

Most Moms have a reason...either personal experience or someone close to them. No, I would'nt make my daughter wear frilly clothes, but she is NOT wearing the jeans that show her butt, or are so tight that the seams disappear UP her butt.We have lived just a little more honey, and sometimes we do know what we're talking about. My daughter is 14, and we don't always agree, but she knows there is an issue of trust working here. Violate my trust, and it"s very hard to get it back. Don't disobey mom just to disobey her. Remember that she loves you, more than you can know.

If she tells you to steal the neighbors car than I would say no you shouldn't obey. If she is looking out for your best interest but you think you know more-than I say obey!! Believe me if you don't-you will get burned and years later say "wow mom was right". She has been around way longer than you and forsees the actual outcomes before it ever happens. Trust me on this girl!

listen to her and remember this for when you have your own child, the things you tell them for their best interest will seem unreasonable to them
