I've had Laser Hair Removal when I was like 14 years old. I had like 6 sessions with an interval of 2 months per every session. I asked my dermatologist to do it for me. The options that you have are the following (if you're still saving up for laser, that is)

1. Threading (Awfully painful so I strongly suggest that you take at least 2 tablets of painkillers an hour before the actual process. And make sure that you go to a professional, otherwise, you might experience cuts and rashes)

2. Waxing (Doesn't matter if it's cold or hot, but personally, I would suggest that you go for cold wax to avoid any kind of skin burn. Skin burn can cause discolouration and you don't want that, right? ^_~)

3. Dep Creams (Sally Hansen is the best product in the market as of now - at least according to most people that I know)

4. Shaving's okay but hair growth is almost immediate (max. 1 day) and it may cause stubbles.

Whichever process you choose to do so, please make sure that you moisturize before and after the "hair removal session" to avoid any chicken skin, and other skin irritations. Goodluck!

I am interested and I went to see the dermatologist. He says it works wonderful on light skin with dark hair (it works best). There is also a type of laser of dark skinned but should be really careful because there might be change of scarring.

According to the dermatologist doing the lip area takes 5 minutes and it hurts less than waxing. Plus if you tend to be very sensitive you can put some pain killer oitment one hour before.

But what I read is that it is not permanet it last a couple of year. but it is much better that having to beach and wax every month dont you think????

Well hope someone replies to tell us her experience.

Waxing sucks the 1st or 2d time you get it finished, yet you get used to it. finding on the area you bypass, you will get it finished everywhere from $5 (at a acceptance college) to... proper, some outrageous cost, i'm effective- at a professional salon. Laser hair removing, i've got have been given been cautioned, is $15 in line with sq. inch, yet i might learn on that. and specific, I do have self perception you're extensive unsleeping for the suggestions-set, although i've got have been given heard it does not harm in any appreciate.

Hey-if you can stand the pain, go and get waxed-be it your armpits, bikini, legs or back, when you wax enough the hair eventually grows back less and less as time goes on-not just one or two times, i mean a few years-I know this one woman who had her legs and bikini waxed for years and pretty soon almost nothing came back, like not enough to hardly notice-but I am not promising anything here-I guess it depends on the person and what type of hair and skin they have--Good Luck!

I loved laser hair removal. It wasn't that expensive but you have to go several times. It was the coolest. you really do see the difference.I did my underarms.yeah It's not permanent and you do have to go back for a touch up but that'll be a while.plus that dark shadow you get from shaving so much sux.and you do have to put some numbing ointment cause if you don't you will not be able to take the pain!
