Allah says in the Quran'fasting was prescribed for you as it was for those before you" and most of us readily submit to it even if we dont practice anything else in the deen the rest of the time.now,Allah also says"jihad was prescribed for you like it was prescribed for those before you". but unlike fasting we dont rush to jihad even when we know it to be permissible, like in the case when a muslim country is invaded by an aggressor nation.are we being hypocritical?or are we just accepting some of the book and not all of it as munafiqeen do? just doin some self reflect and i wanted your honest opinions.

You would not want my opinion. However, this is what the Qur'an says:
http://www.quransearch.com
Munir Munshey translation
[002:216] Warfare (for the sake of Allah) has been ordained for you, though it is not something you like. It is possible that the thing you detest might just (turn out to) be good for you. It is possible that the thing you like (the most) might in reality be bad for you. Allah knows (all) while you know nothing (at all)!
[004:095] The two are not equal: those who sit at home (and do not join the fighting) _ unless they have a reason; they are handicapped _ and those who strive hard in the path of Allah with their wealth and lives. Over those who sit at home, Allah has excelled and elevated to a higher honor those who strive hard with their wealth and lives. Compared to those who sit at home, Allah will award a far greater reward to those who wage a struggle.
[009:086] As soon as a chapter (of the Qur’an) is revealed (instructing them), “Believe in Allah and wage a struggle along with His messenger” the able bodied (and well to do) among them ask to be exempted. They say, “Leave us (behind). Let us be among those who sit at home.”
[008:007] (Remember) when Allah promised you, that one of the two groups (of enemy) shall be yours. You preferred the group that was not too heavily armed. But Allah wanted the truth to triumph by His words; (He wanted) to strike forcefully at, (and cut off), the very roots of the unbelievers.
[008:060] Acquire and prepare all the (military) strength you can muster, including the finest trained horses (and other military wares). With that, you would daunt and deter the enemies of Allah _ your enemies, and others besides them. You do not know them, but Allah (surely) knows them. Anything you spend in the path of Allah will be returned to you in full. You will not be wronged (at all).

Read the Qur'an and keep on praying ..all of us have a destined time and all of us must remember that the world is three days some surahs such as surah fatiha- the opening has the cure for illness Surah al ikhlaas YEsterday is gone, tommorow may never come and today, it's yours so work on it. I remember it from a hadith but don't quote me word for word. Assalamu alaikum wb Also i do think it would be right for you to tell your parents don't leave them in the dark because i am sure that in your time of need they will always be there for you. Assalamu alaikum wb

The following is a true story of a devout Muslim who believed in Jihad.
Afshin Javid was born into a Muslim family in Iran. By the time he was 10 years old he had read the Koran through completely. By the time he was 17 years old he was reading the Koran completely through every 10 days and was a member if Hezbullah. He was arrested in Malaysia trying to smuggle 30 forged passports into the USA. He was so knowledgeable about Islam and the Koran that the prison authorities ask him to teach the inmates. One night after his release Afshin was sitting considering aspects of his faith when he felt the overwhelming presence of God in the room with him. Afshin was afraid because he thought that Allah was coming to kill him and he crawled into the corner of the room and begged Allah for forgiveness. Afshin felt a hand on his shoulder and a calm voice said, “I forgive you.” Afshin was confused and terrified. His faith told him that Allah does not forgive in this life. Afshin asked “Who are you?” The voice said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” Afshin thought that this was strange. He had never heard this before and it still did not answer his question so he asked again “ Who are you ?” The voice said, “I am Jesus Christ and I died to cleanse you of all sin. I forgive you.”
Afshin ran to the mosque to tell everyone what had happened, but they tried to kill him. Fortunately Afshin escaped and now runs a growing Christian Ministry in Canada, where the services are conducted in Farsi with English translations for those who want it.
About now, you are probably angry about this. That you are thinking this guy should be punished for attacking Islam. Jihad is all part of religion. Lots of peace, love and understanding is going through your mind right now. NOT. No matter what you are thinking now, this is a true story as broadcast by Radio Rhema in New Zealand.
This is a man who learned true love and peace at the hands of Our Lord Jesus Christ himself. Learn.

You are right, muslims should accept all the quran, not some of it like munafiqeen. And because of that we are weak and other nations are attacking us, killing our children, raping our women, stealing our wealth... etc. Its because we abandoned jihad, however jihad doesnt include killing innocents, but those who invaded our countries and those who hurt us.

to be honest we just accept the thingس that doesn't get us in trouble ,we aren't good abds for God,this is the truth other wise the world wouldn't be like this now we probably had Jesus and Mahdi coming and see the good times that the Koran has predicted for us sooner
و نرید ان نمن الی الذین استضعفوا فی الارض و نجعلهم ائمه و نجعلهم الوارثین

Violence in religion is the basis of most wars. Personally, I think that believing in god is ridiculous, but killing in the name of god is outright embarrassing. If you are full of hate, can't you just admit it and kill in the name of that hatred? Why do you feel the need to justify it with the god nonsense? It amazes me that the majority of the world think that some poorly written books (the bible, Koran [Qumran], and others) are the keys to heaven. That is beyond childish, it's completely ignorant.
Good luck with your holy war. Why not go into a big field practice your suicide, murderous bombing skills???
