I buy without keeping track, this is not limited to groceries either, I have gotten so many overdrafts on my checking account it's not funny. I started keeping track of what I was spending and keeping a budget, but unfortunately that only lasted about a month.

I don't really make a budget. I plan out meals for the week, go through the cupboards and cleaning supplies, then make up a list. I also go through the grocery flyer and find stuff that we use that's on sale. When we're working out our bills though, we plan to spend about $500 on a month's worth of groceries because that's how much we usually spend.

I make a list, and stick to it most of the time (unless chicken is on sale or something), but a budget, no...I don't keep a budget just for groceries...it's budgeted in with the rest of the bills. It's a necessity!!!

I don't have a grocery budget and I only buy eight items each time I shop so I can use the fast checkout counter at the supermarket.

Add sugar, spiece and everything nice. Marinade. Garnish with chemical-X. Set aside. Boil for about 24 hours. Then you'll have a perfect woman!

We usually go in to the store setting a goal, and then we hold our breath at the register and wait for the total. It's funny, sometimes we compete to see who has the most accurate guess while waiting in line... I might be a huge dork, but it makes me smile :)

i'm a single parent so yea i budget everything from food, to car expense, to allowance, to practically everything. i want to make sure i also have some money set aside for my child's education, life insurance, stocks and all that stuff. if i didn't budget, i don't think i can pay all that. so, yes budgeting is part of my life. i don't think i'll have as much if i didn't budget.
