If a normal person, no white collar suit or anyhing else was to run for office in your state, onee that comes to a campain with a t-shirt and jeans, listens to what the people want. proves to them that it is the same thing he wants, comes to you and says will you support me and help clean up america.
will you give him your vote. you have seen post of people explaining and commenting on what americans want, you have seen answers of what america wants, some agree but some dont that is life, that is america "FREEDOM OF SPEECH"
i ask this for one reason. I as an american citizen want to run for office, i am not going to coat myself up to look good, i am not going to get a dictionary to spell every word correctly, i am not going to turn my back on my country. i want to run to follow our people, to help bring america to what it once was, to help america repersent want we once did. to keep things from getting worse, and get clean america up once and for all. i ask this question because

Everyone who is running our government has a great education and went to the most privileged colleges. Look how our country is now. A great leader is some one who listens to the people and rises above the Nay Sayers. I would love a blue collar representative, truth be told. They would be for AMERICANS and avoid the special interest groups and corporations that run our white collar criminal government.. You ask me, I would like a change.. I really would like to have a true patriotic spirit in this country again and one who loves America like I do.

YES! I would vote for a regular guy who was for the American citizens and the USA, for a change. I would also have to know his views on other issues as well. He would have to be very intelligent to be able to carry off a leadership position in our higher government without the proper education and experience, though. Not that it can't be done. There are some people who are just naturally intelligent about such things. If I felt this person had what it took to do it, I'd vote for him.

I would say it's about freaking time! This country needs someone who understands what the every day man has to go through. Any politician that comes to office with money falling out of their rear end hasn't got a clue to how the real world is for everyday America, whether republican or democrat.

You wouldn't get as far as you would like to go. As the most average Joe, you could get on your city council or a county office, possibly to your state House, which is actually quite far, all things considered. I'm ALL for people running for office as themselves, not trying to be trumped-up anything. You DO have to appear educated or at least intelligent, however, or no one will take you seriously. It is reasonable to think that *most* Americans would want the best and brightest in positions of leadership -- which would exclude pretty firmly someone who insisted on being mediocre ("Mediocre" has bad connotations, but it sounds like middle-of-the-road is what you would try to sell). You sound like you've got good intentions, the passion and drive to succeed, and probably the intelligence to carry it out. Go for it! You can make a difference, for sure.

If your an honest Joe who cares about the people's opinion I think it would mean more to the people than anything else could.
It has been a long time that we had someone like that. You would be famous if you were honest and not afraid to stand up to the crooks in our government.
