how do you convert a microsoft word document (.doc) into a PDF?

Print it.

There is an option in the print menu, you can make any thing a pdf by selecting print. You don't have to be connected to a printer and it will not print to paper if you select pdf.

When the file is open click the -file- menu then click -save as- and it will be the name and there will be a -.doc- Change -doc- into -- -pdf- and click save.
