and tell me that Jeebus was a Messiah. Does anyone have anything to refute this? Doubt it. Chicken$hits will report this, real believers will answer.
These specific criteria are as follows:
1) He must be Jewish. (Deuteronomy 17:15, Numbers 24:17)
2) He must be a member of the tribe of Judah (Genesis 49:10) and a direct male descendent of both King David (I Chronicles 17:11, Psalm 89:29-38, Jeremiah 33:17, II Samuel 7:12-16) and King Solomon. (I Chronicles 22:10, II Chronicles 7:18)
3) He must gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel. (Isaiah 27:12-13, Isaiah 11:12)
4) He must rebuild the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. (Micah 4:1)
5) He must bring world peace. (Isaiah 2:4, Isaiah 11:6, Micah 4:3)
6) He must influence the entire world to acknowledge and serve one G-d. (Isaiah 11:9, Isaiah 40:5, Zephaniah 3:9)
All of these criteria for the Messiah are best stated in the book of Ezekiel chapter 37:24-28:
"And My servant David will be a king over them, and they will all have one shepherd, and they will walk in My ordinances, and keep My statutes, and observe them, and they shall live on the land that I gave to Jacob My servant...and I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant and I will set my sanctuary in their midst forever and My dwelling place shall be with them, and I will be their G-d and they will be My people. And the nations will know that I am the Lord who sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forever."
If an individual fails to fulfill even one of these conditions, he cannot be the Messiah.

You have a pretty short list of the messianic prophecies, let me enhance it for you and explain a couple things. First of all, Jesus was Jewish, he was of the line of David and the tribe of Judah. You can read his chronology in the first chapter of the book of Matthew. There are other prophecies abaout Messiah that you have not listed among which are:
1.) He will be born in Bethlehem [Micah 5:2]
2.) He would be born of a virgin [Isaiah 7:14]
3.) Messiah is to be a prophet like unto Moses [Deuteronomy 18:15, 18, 19]
4.) Messiah was to enter into Jerusalem in triumph on an *** [Zechariah 9:9]
5.) He would be rejected by his own people [Psalm 118:22]
6.) He would die as a sacrifice for sin [Isaiah 53 :6, 8, 10, 11, 12]
7.) and He shall have a kingdom that shall never be destroyed [Daniel 7:13-14]
8.) Messiah shall reign over all the earth Psalm 78:8, 11
And there are more than 300 other prophecies about Jesus being the Messiah in the ancient Hebrew writings.
You fail to understand the message of the passover lamb... it pointed to Christ, the passover for the entire world once and for all time; the lamb without blemish, the Lamb of God sinless! That was the reason for his first coming, to deliver us from sin! The second coming is when He will set up His throne in Jerusalem and reign over all the earth. Those prophecies dealing with that still are to be fulfilled in the future, but when you consider that there are many other prophecies speaking about his first visit, then you begin to get the whole picture, and you see why all his disciples who also were Jews, believed in him, even to the death! Paul (of the Damascus road experience) wrote a letter to the Hebrews explaining all the relationships of the old sacrificial system to the Messiah Jesus, in the new Testament it is the book of Hebrews. You owe it to yourself to read the entire new testament and discover what a really Jewish book it is. Shalom!

I have read every reference.
Here's some things to think about:
More criteria:
1) Enmity between seed of woman and Satan (Genesis 3:15; Revelation 12:1-6)
2) A man of sorrows, acquainted with grief and
3) was buried in a rich man's grave (Isaiah 53 see whole chapter, also Psalm 22 is mostly prophecy about the Messiah)
Some of your references are out of context and are not talking of the Messiah, points 3-6 are to be fulfilled at the second coming of Messiah, not the first. These events are still future (obviously, we don't have world peace yet!) and will be fulfilled at His second return. Jesus fulfilled all prophecies relating to the first coming of the Messiah. Study it for yourself. Born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14). Pierced hands and feet (Psalm 22:16). Just a couple of starters.

Dear Sofukinbilly,
You are correct in giving the specific "criteria" for one being the true messiah. But you "error" in stating that "Jesus" - which in Hebrew is called "Yeshua" - is a fraud. Shame on you!
All true believers believe in one true God, who is the great "I AM" which was mentioned in the old testament - God speaking to Moses from the burning bush. In the new testament the High Priest questioned Jesus asking,"Are you the Messiah, the son of the Blessed One?" Jesus replied, "I AM, and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming with the clouds of heaven"(Mark 14:61b-62).
I challenge you to make a comparison between the concept of the Messiah as outlined in the Hebrew Scriptures, and that of the Christian New Testament documents.
Here are the Facts: The Messiah Criteria - (old v.s. new testaments)
1. He must be jewish. Jesus was a jew born in Bethlehem of Judea. (Mattew 1:17-21; Isaiah 9:6)
2. He must be of the tribe of Judea. Jesus was a direct male descendant of king David and born of Bethlehem of Judea in the days of king Herod. (Mattew 1:1; Mattew 2:21-23).
3. He must gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel, (Jeremiah 32:37-39; Jeremiah 23:5-6).
Fact: this prophesy was fulfilled in the year 1948. From the date when Ezekiel measured the "visionary temple" in Ezekiel 40 unto 1948, when Israel became a nation again - are 1260 plus 1260 years, (573 BC Nisan 10, plus 1260 plus years = AD 1948 Penticost). Note: Israel became a nation Sivan 5 on the 360 Calendar, which was on May 14th evening to May 15th evening in 1948. Israel became a nation at midnight on May 14th ending in 1948 upon the termination of the British Mandate.
4.He must rebuild the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. (Isaiah 66:7; Malachi 3:1; Daniel 9:26, Daniel 9:25-27)
5. He must bring world peace. (Romans 11:25; Philipians 3:7-9)
6. He must influence the entire world to acknowledge and serve one God. (Luke 2:22, 25-32; Haggi 2:6-9; John 3:16).
Isaiah 53:1-7 "Who has believed our report...He was despised and rejected of men...But he was wounded for our transgressions...so he opened not his mouth."
John 19:37 "...they shall look on him whom they pierced."

Your six statements that Jesus (by the way, in Hebrew it is pronounced Ye 'shuah) is a fraud . . . let's take them one by one.
1. He must be Jewish.
Matthew Chapter One verses 1-17 show the genealogy of Ye'shuah (Jesus in Greek) proving he was Jewish.
2. Member of the tribe of Judah same passage of scripture Matthew Chapter 1.
3. Gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel . . .
The Messiah will gather His people from exile and return them to Israel in His 1000 year reign! NOT HAPPENED YET BUT SOON~
Revelation 20: 4-15, Ezekial 11:17
4.Rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem
again this is a future event and will be built by Ye'shuah i.e. "the Branch"
Zechariah 6:13-15
Jesus referred to Himself as the vine out of which the branches received their ability to bear fruit. John 15:1-13
5.Brings world peace again a future event. . . accomplished by Ye'shuah (the Branch) Jeremiah 33:15 and Zechariah 3:8-10
6. Influence the world to acknowledge one GOD????
Again a Millennial Reign event Revelation 1:4-8, Revelation 19: 10-16
and Zechariah 14:16-21
The Bible also states that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus (Ye'shuah) Christ (Messiah in Hebrew) is Lord.
I suggest we wait until ALL the scriptures are fulfilled before we declare Jesus a fraud, my friend.
By the way, I happen to believe he is the Messiah and My SOON COMING KING who died on a cross for all mankind's sins and was raised from the dead on the third day by the Spirit of GOD and is now seated at the right hand of the Father until all is fulfilled and Abba Father says, Go get your Bride Son!

you forgot a bunch of crucial ones:
- he will be a torah observant jew (isaiah 11:12) - observing the torah means following the laws exactly... jesus did away with the laws
- he will swallow up death forever (isaiah 25:8) - last week my uncle died, this hasnt come true yet
- weapons of war will be destroyed (ezekiel 39:9) - i dont have to explain this one, do i?
- jews will know the torah without study ( jeremiah 31:33) - i still have to study the torah myself
these are just a few from a long list. there is nothing in the bible that says the messiah will come twice. this is silly, the messiah will get it right the first time. there is nothing in the bible that says the messiah will be the son of G-d.
jesus is not of the tribe of judah nor a direct descendant of david. judaism considers a person to be a descendant of the birth fathers tribe only. josephs family is irrelevant. he did not father jesus, according to christianity.

Jesus isn't a fraud, he is a joke, he is the king of the new heaven and earth which is true. He is not the king of this physical world. He said that his kingdom is not of this world. If you're unwilling to accept reality as it is and deal with it than that is what he will save you from. totally real down to earth people don't by into the gospel.

1. He was born of Jewish heritage. Check the genealogies in Matthew and luke.
2. He was born of the tribe of Judah. Again, check genealogies
3. He will, at the end.
4. He will, at the end.
Mic 4:1 But it shall be in the end of the days, the mountain of the house of Jehovah shall be established on the top of the mountains; and it shall be lifted up from the hills; and peoples shall flow on it.
Notice the term, "in the end of days"?
5. See above
6.See above
Again, the Ezekiel passage speaks of the millennium kingdom to come.

There is a fool born every minute! Jesus wasn't pronounced in Hebrew because in that day the word wasn't in Hebrew. The common person in Jesus day spoke Aramaic which was a Babylonian language learned from years of captivity. Hebrew was studied by the religious groups but the common person was not skilled in it. The closest Old Testament word to Jesus was Joshua but all your presentation proves is that you are an idiot.
