Yes, I am real and You see of what you get. I am not afraid to express my truly opinion. People now are very smart and They can smell rat a mile away if you are fake and pretend about who you are.I am proud to have so many friends and 15 minutes of my time I can change the way people think and want to do good for others.I make my difference every day.

No, I don't always get a chance to, because some of the topics don't come up. Besides that, I have some opinions that I don't express to all friends and relatives because some of my opinions might offend them, and I don't see a good reason to do that. On religious subjects, for example, it's more important to me to maintain good relations with people I care about than it is for me to sound off & tell them how I'm so much smarter than they are, & how all their beliefs are baloney. Some people can't handle discussions on certain topics without getting irrational and I don't see a need to butt heads with them on things I don't think are important. Here on Yahoo!, though, since it's anonymous, I don't have the same incentives to get along or keep peace in the family, so I feel at liberty to express myself more plainly than I would in person. I suspect that most other people feel & act about the same way, & that partly accounts for the number of tactless or rude answers we see here on Yahoo!, that you would not see in real life. Of all those respondents above who assure us that, Oh, yes, they talk exactly the same way in real life as they do here on Yahoo!, because anything else would be phony ... Of all those people, how many do you think tell their boss he is full of baloney, or tell their teachers or professors what they think of all their opinions, or how many tell their old granny that her church & religion are foolish? I would guess not very many, -- or, hopefully, only the dumbest ones.

Mostly. A lot of the people I know are more interested in what is happening on Desperate House Wives than what is happening in the world though. They can name the cast of that show but cannot name the Chief Justice nor the Speaker of the House. I thus don't bother that much with most, the others tend to agree with me.

Yes. My family, friends, and co-workers are aware of my opinions. The difference is that in the real world we actually have intelligent, adult-like conversations even if the opinions differ. On here it's mostly name calling.

confident. on line acquaintances are basically as efficient as RL acquaintances. a chum is a chum inspite of ways/the place you meet them. RL or on line does not define or decide on if somebody may be a chum. i've got met some people on line, infact, my perfect buddy I met on line and with any luck interior the destiny it rather is going to likely be extra, yet for now basically acquaintances. She's a magnificent individual. fantastically lots, rather, my perfect acquaintances are the few i've got met on line.

Yes- probably even more so in real life then on YA. However, something tells me that a lot of people that post outrageous things on here- regardless of what side of the debate that they take- are really shy, nervous people that can't voice their opinions in public.

Yes, and it is sometimes difficult. However, most people I talk with have clearly lost faith in Bush and whatever he is doing. I knew he was a loser before he got appointed, but I did not think that he could fool people for so long. I am relieved that finally folks are feed up with Bush and his double talk.

Yes, because one of my co-workers thinks the exact opposite of me. It's fun to debate her.

Not always, I have relatives who don't participate in politics of any kind. Their religion teaches that this is God's kingdom and that they should abstain from association with worldly leaders and false prophets.
I have friends whose views differ from mine, we just don't discuss politics. My extended family have very lively debates. With time outs and joke telling time!

Yes, to a certain extent....I tell them my views, but don't try to push it on them.....everyone has their own opinions on this issue. (just like politics and religion) But just so you know about 89 % of the people I know pretty much feel the same way I do.
