not to cover scars or anything, but just strictly for cosmetic purposes...how far would you go?

I am getting my nose altered.. Just some natural changes because it does bother me. I can see both sides of the argument, as I woud not have considered it an option for years.. but it finally got to the point where my self esteem and confidence were really suffering..

I say if something is really affecting your self-esteem, and it really is objectively a bit unattractive, and you feel surgery is an option, then it's your choice.. Nobody should judge you.. We don't judge people who get braces do we?

A disclaimer however is that I think when we alter things to look completely different (not just slight alteration), or go overboard with too many procedures then perhaps it's a deeper psychological problem that needs attention...

GOSH YEAH! and I know some day I will.. when im 30!

I want tummy tuck, breast augmentation and pouty lips.. so a tiny bit of collagen .. and some botox between my brows.. I look like im frowning or angry.. but im always smiling!

id go to the extremes.. to maintain the same youth in my appearance that I have in personality.. :D

why not.. if you can afford it.. enjoy it :D

I was a teenage mom.. so I didn't get to enjoy the sexiest years of my life.. so why not be a sexy mom.. i had two c-sections and hate that the muscles never fully repaired ..

Yes. I do not know if birthmarks fit under your definition of "scars" since they pretty much are not scars in the first place. I have a huge dark birthmark on my left cheek. I wish that it was gone. I always feel like people are looking at my birthmark instead of me.

I had a C-section almost a year ago and I just found out that some doctors are doing tummy tucks with their C-sections, if I have any more kids I will find a doctor who will do it.. I mean why not, they already have you cut, all they'd be doing is cutting away the extra streched out skin!

i wouldn't do it. you should feel comfortable in your own skin. why should you go and get cosmetic surgery for, when somebody out there thinks that you look fabulous the way you are?

I don't think I need any, but I would get some if I thought I really needed it. That is, of course, if I could afford it & found a doctor I thought I could really trust.

why to undergo such painful and tedious procedures simply to look better instead can be far better by just developing confidence and simply liking your body
i would try to concentrate and highlight my positives rather then feeling bad about my negatives i.e try to be in very good shape wear dresses that suits me .mostly try to be happy

I most certainly would. I am seeing a doctor now for some light work to be done.

I hate that people cant be accepted by themselves or others unless they fit the modern description of "good looking."
I wouldn't do it. Be yourself. We need less copies of people and more real people.

Yes.

Have no problem with people "fixing" one or two things they don't like. But that is enough.
